If you know a grower that's great they'll probably give you great advice and save you from alot of intial problems that yo umight expierence. I really wish I had that when I was first starting out.
However I would always ask what ever questions you have in both places.
ie:
Logon to cannabis.com and ask "How much can I feed?"
Ask your grower freind "How much can I feed?"
Cannabis.com has alot of good information and alot of intelligent people on here.
Many times I've gotten my answer after selectively taking information from some of these said "intelligent" people to come to my own solution.
I really owe these people alot. I feel like I got an education for free... which really I guess that's the way it should be.

Wow I guess I'm pretty fortunate. I grew up and live around alot of close friends who still grow nice ones still today. We all grew up together and the information was passed down and we always try to help each other. I must say their are lots of hurt feelings once in a while we wont talk with one anther for 8 months+ from some bullshit clone thing. I must say though it is really fun to be able to have the competitions growing all the time w/ "FRIENDS"

How do you meet fellow growers?
I met over a hundred growers this past weekend. Growers are a cool, cool crowd. A lot more were invited but opted out for security reasons, and I think that was a smart move but in this case luckily the fear was unwarranted. Of course, in this line of work NO initial fear is unwarranted and we never find out that a situation WAS indeed safe until the situation has passed.
I guess the way to safely meet growers is to find that fine line between foolsihly exposing yourself and sitting in a dark house looking out the window for narcs. Use your spidey sense. If it says DANGER trust it. If it says COOL be skeptical. lol.
Some of us have been here in communication long enough that we have come to trust each other, and I have met a few members here who were wonderful people, and one who creeped me the FUCK out.
The only way to protect yourself 100% is to go daily to your boring 9-5 and on weekends barbeque with the in-laws and mow the lawn and not do anything illegal. But once you cross that line, it's important to create barriers where information cannot pass.
If you are going to expose yourself, BUY A TRACFONE. DO NOT SET UP THE VOICEMAIL. DO NOT HAVE A NAME ATTACHED TO IT AT ALL. Use an anonymous email with an IP mask of some type. Never carry weed or plants on your person until you have established that the person is not a narc- and that is a hell of a task, and one which you will never be 100% certain of. A couple years ago, a single week of raids in my county took down over 100 dealers, all but 1 for hard drugs, and the guy who turned out to have been the planted informant was a scruffy, hardcore, inked mofo with gang tats and a bad habit of banging the local dealers' girlfriends. Which just goes to show you can't even trust appearances.

Thanks daihashi-good advice; but he is nazi like about gro outdoors and I cannot (at this point), so he isn't forth-coming in the advice and strickly does clones. Dumb shit tho, lives in a rented apt. and grows on upstairs porch.
STINKY-Best advice. I worked with a sec. guard that was the Capt. of the Vice Squad in tha area- He looked exactly how you described, to the 'T's and talked like a real prick thinking he was cool when he farted the Star Spangled Banner. I hurt his feelings one day when I told him he was the rudest person I'd ever met. Chief of Police also worked there and was his boss (all worked there part time); I hurt his wittle feelings and he cried to his boss! Can u imagine that! I did have a heart to heart talk to him about how could you resist. Man, you cannot imagine the frame of mind someone like that has, it made me suspicious from then on. But, I never really knew the laws related and didn't have a lot of fear. Lucky to be on this side of the big house! I will print and post those rules 4 me! :thumbsup: thanks PR

thanks for bringing it up, this thing we do, being illegal, forces us to make some compromises because of what i consider unjust laws.
that doesn't mean we can just toss the integrity out the window.
