Question about moderators, not an insult at all just a ?

gee, i'm so surprised and this is such a great great honor. to begin with i'd like to thank my mentors timothy leary and stanley owsley. though they never achieved anything close to my greatness, they were always of some minor assistance. next i would like to thank all of the little people who made this possible (compared to me, you are all little people). finally i would like to thank the government of the united states of america for keeping this nonsensical prohibition on the books and allowing me to amass my multi billion dollar fortune. i would also like you all to know that, though i have frittered away most of my fortune on underage hookers and cheap wine, i am using the remaining $7.78 to create "the institute for the perversion of american morals" in honor of my misspent youth. in closing i would like to leave you with the words of our ex president and the first woman on saturn (and the last), sally fields - "i can't deny the fact that you like me, you really like me"


by the way - holding my breath should be no problem as i haven't exhaled in nearly twenty years.

This may not reflect my post count due to my new username but I spend a lot of time on this site and lately I've been curious as to how one goes about becoming a moderator?..or like earning the mod title?..

Do you have to commit a certain amount of hours or at certain times? What other prvileges or abilities do you get? And you don't get paid right?

Moderators are chosen by the other moderators and sundance I believe. You become one by sensible posts a good record, charisma, being a regular, knowledgeable, etc. There are lots of privileges mods get such as, the mod only forum, bigger avs, their own title, bannings, post deletions, editing posts, giving out infractions, and sure many other secret powers we have no clue about.. :jointsmile:

And as the site grows so does the need for moderators, so just stay good and likable, and one day, maybe just one day.....

all of our mods have been genetically engineered and preprogrammed at the factory. they are all linked directly to their computers and fed a special top-secret diet of herbs, caffeine and high-fructose corn syrup. they have no life outside of serving the cancom community and are incinerated once their usefulness is at an end.

You have to be a member of "the family." It also helps to be Italian. Ask Physco4Bud, LOL....
