rutherford is right, try holding your breath after hitting a roor
I find following this method gives good results when the chronic is under par. Take your nice smooth hit. Don't hoot it back quick, but don't drag it on forever, let it brew nicely. Once you have a full nice hit, take a quick suck in of air, almost like a tiny joint puff just to clear any last bit of smoke out of your mouth. Hold it comfortably. I find holding it until the piece is passed off to the next person is plenty, don't over-do it so your next breaths are gasps. 10 seconds I would say is a good ballpark. Then simply exhale at will.
Happy smoking and remember, make sure theres a lighter before packing a bowl.

Based on my research he did a "Ghost Hit". But in my opinion he's trying to choke himself to death in the bathroom.
wouldn't a vaporizer be a good way to end this, it doesn't give off carcinogens so you can hold that hit as long as you want.:stoned:
Actually holding it in or not doesn't matter. You get just as high. What ever you feel from holding it in can be chalked up to the oxygen deprivation lol...
Honestly, it takes 1-2 seconds for something like 92% of all THC to be absorbed into the lungs..all that's needed is a simple inhale, pause, exhale...
Holding it in any longer means your only harming yourself with all the carcinogens you're SUPPOSED to exhale after a couple seconds.
True story!
as your blowing out, breathe back in before the smoke leaves your mouth. repeat that like 3 times. the re-enterance of the smoke helps.
or you can blow your hits into a bag/ baloon. but dont let the hit sit for too long cuz it gets nasty
I could see holding it in for a few seconds, but trying to turn your face blue is a bit much. But thanks for the reminder. I should get back into the habit, or at least try it.
I definitely don't think what I felt was oxygen deprivation. Oxygen deprivation doesn't give you cottonmouth and the munchies like that. People keep saying the lungs are extremely efficient at absorbing THC out of all the chemicals in cannabis smoke, but I just don't see any good evidence for that. Does anybody have any proof? I must say I'm rather skeptical that virtually all the THC can be absorbed by the lung tissue that quickly.
but these carcinogens aren't cancerous...so I'd rather hold it in and feel MUCH higher than I would if I only held it in for a few seconds, plus then I wouldn't cough, and if you don't cough you don't get off..Quote:

stopping exhalation also helps. Like clossing yer mouth too early as the smoke is trying to get out.
