by the way, i dont know a single person that pounds a POT of coffee in 1 session. grow up.

Would you like to meet my boss? Hell, given enough motivation, I can post a video of him doing it. Coffee pot in office, and will finish out a pot in one sitting. As in, finish a cup and pour a new one right after. Yeah, he doesnt drink from the pot, but he damn sure finishes a pot of coffee in under 45 min easy. Thats pounding down a pot of coffee in one session.

And fair is only fair, right? I personally dont care what people call me, if they see me as a pot freak, then so be it. The difference in how I refer to people is in equal proportion to how they treat me and my enjoyments. If a person who "really really really really really enjoys" their caffiene isnt lecturing me about my "faults", then I have no beef with them. When that same person is telling me that I am scum of the planet, and drug heads are horrible people, and I should be in jail, then I have a beef. Then I take the time to point by point show their hypocracy in regards to the entire matter.

BTW, I call people who use incredible amounts of pot, pot heads. If they just smoke pot, they dont get called that. If you use something in an excessive amount, IMO you deserve something to designate that towards other people. There is a fundamental difference between a casual and binge drinker, but if you tell someone that Bob drinks alcohol, you cant provide any way to show them which it is. That can be important when trying to discuss things or bring up the framework for a story. More information = good.

I still havent attacked anyone who used caffiene, I havent said anything negative about them, and I have not stated that what they do is wrong. I stated some facts about caffiene, and pointed out the hypocracy of some who use it, and was somehow told that in doing so I was a hypocrite. Im not on a soap box preaching the need to make caffiene illegal. Hell, I drink about two cokes a day, and drink Bawls all the time for the caffiene and the effects it provides.

So once again, calm the fuck down, and take a breath. Might I recommend some reading comprehension as well, as it seems you had to have been reading someone elses post if to get what you seeminly got out of mine.

Im not on anyones side. I dont care either way. Pot being legal or illegal in the end doesnt change what I want to do. Caffeine being legal or illegal in the end doesnt change what I want to do. Hell, all of us here are proof that the legality of things doesnt matter in the end.

Id love to keep discussing this with you, but please, if you are going to respond back, could I ask that you take the time to read what I actually write, and try to keep to the discussion instead of using personal attacks and other assorted falacies?

It is true you can have to much pot but you can alsot have to much caffeine.

Ill have to look for it, but I once found a website that listed how much it would take to OD on caffiene from more commonly found food items that contained the drug.

All I remember was that one of the easiest, and one of the few only feasible ways to OD on caffiene via food/drink was a Double Shot Expresso from Starbucks. Do believe it was something like 12 of those in a 1-2hr period can cause an OD. Outside of that, and one or two other ways, its hard to OD without taking the drug directly.

And while marijuanna may be proven to be impossible to OD on, that doesnt mean you cant "take" too much. Moderation is the key. Too much smoking might not cause you to OD, but you are putting your body at more risk from smoking so much, which is something to be cautious of.

Really, almost any problems in life, would be solved with a bit more moderation. ^-^

Also, I was off by a good bit on the amount required for OD on the starbucks side. Starbucks does provide the most total caffiene out of anything listed on that page, with the Starbucks Grande Coffee sitting at 372mg of caffeine per serving, but the pure caffeine delivery products do provide more caffeine per oz.

Coffee (Espresso) is the most normal drink that has the highest caffeine mg/oz ratio, sitting at 1.5oz for 77mg of caffeine, but the starbucks grande coffee actually takes less servings to kill you, requiring only 37 servings for a person of 200lbs, 28 servings for someone of 150lbs.

Just some random info thought might be interesting. Doesnt pertain much to the discussion.

although it is true that caffeine and cocaine are similar in their chemical compound, cocaine is more deadly at the same dose. their chemical formula is the same except cocaine has double of everything that caffeine has

also just because you get a headache and antsy from caffeine withdrawal doesn't mean that everyone does. you could argue that pot has an emotional withdrawal, that people get bored and moody and wish they had some greens to smoke. i know i have been guilty of it at times, and im sure im not alone.

the point i am making is that you should not do to 1 drug the same thing some users of that drug are doing to yours. the bigger picture is that humans will always do drugs, and the act of taking 1 drug is no more morally sound than taking another is.

calling u a fascist was a stretch, for that i apoligize. i read your posts and responded to what you said though. whether you want to believe it or not, you DID attack caffeine users in this thread that was NOT about caffeine.

I get that a lot too. I call my waking hour "the afternoon haze."

I CANNOT Wake & Bake. I find it difficult to smoke right after i wake up. It's difficult for me because the bunr outs come strong for me. I get burned out really easy and my burn outs are strong for some reason. I just can't see myself waking up and getting burned out, only to fall right back to sleep.

Usually I wait at least until 10:00 AM local time to hit my first toke.

Exactly. It's hard for me to fall asleep if I'm not blitzed out of my mind. If I'm out of weed I turn into an insomniac. So waste of weed? Nope.

Well, part of the point of the story was to point out the stereotypes. It helps illustrate the irony better. I could have said, some guy who drinks coffee said that people who do drugs are bad, but it doesnt convey my point, or what the man actually said, in a proper manner.

IIRC, and this is a stretch for me, since I am no expert on coke, but I was pretty sure that the human body could process out the chemicals in cocaine well before you could OD on pure Coke. Coulda sworn it was the impurities, what they cut it with, that caused the majority of the deaths due to cocaine.

I wont argue that you can have a mental addiction to pot. You can have a mental addiction to pretty much anything. I am pretty sure though that there are documented effects that happen when a person is going through caffiene withdrawals. As you said, YMMV in regards to how strong the effects are, and which you get, but there is physical addiction side effects to caffiene.

If I came off as attacking caffiene, then I apologize, for I didnt convey what I was saying well enough, and thats my fault. I have no beef with caffiene. It could have been nicotine, or alcohol, or any number of other things. The point I was trying to illustrate was how funny it was to watch someone who was addicted to a drug, get on their high horse about how horrible others are for doing things such as pot. The fact that they dont even see the irony, or realize that they are doing drugs themselves, is what I wanted to show. I guess I may have gotten lost in the details and hence lost sight of where I was trying to go by the end of the post.

What a person does in their own personal life, and in their life in general, doesnt concern me. Unless they are adversely effecting my life in some way, I really dont care most times. If a person feels better by having a cup of coffee, or doing a line, or smoking some weed, more power to them. Im glad that it makes them feel better. If a person who does such things attacks others while pretending that they are better then those who they attack though... that bothers me. Its the pot calling the kettle black in my book. Thats all I was trying to get at. Sorry it didnt come out that way as planned.
