Is anyone on cannabis.com a doctor?
What kind of rehab, FakeBoobs? Skilled nursing unit/senior-care? Brain injury/stroke? Substance? I have a slight interest in gerontology and would like to know more if you're someone who works in that field. If you prefer to answer it via another route--or not at all--I'll understand!

Bird, I meant drug rehab and as a joke! This is a fine example of how the mind of someone who uses drugs and who doesn't use drugs work. When I hear rehab I think drug and alcohol rehab, it was third on your list! Next time I will use some smilies to show my sarcasm. Well, I laughed I hope you did too.

I'm laughing, too! Because I think you're probably right. What I did was think of all the types of rehab units I've so far encountered and then tried to think of the types of directors, since, of course, I want my suspicions about why you're so smart biochemically and laboratorily confirmed. First I thought of the nursing home my granddad was at (nursing medical director). Then I thought of the stroke place my great grandmother went to (M.D. medical director). Then I thought of facilities for the Betty Fords and Britneys of the world. That's when I had tears running down my face.
You're quite awesome, FBR, whatever you do. And if you do work with old folks, tell me via my sig.

I want to be a doctor, but the extra years of schooling and the timing just don't seem to be right. I want to start a family somewhat soon, as my boyfriend is a bit older then I am and is not getting any younger, and I don't want to be in medical school with young children. Maybe I will take a page from your book, Birdgirl, and get my medical degree when my children are grown...but that just seems like putting off what I want to do for so long.
I can't seem to reconcile the two issues, having a family and going to medical school. I desperately want to do both, and I am entirely unsure that it will ever happen. I have almost resigned myself to just getting my B.S. and my Masters and then starting my family and that be the end of it, but I really hate to give up the dream.

I actually have lately been wanting to be a caregiver. I don't know if that could be a full time job but I would love to do it. I'd have to get good at growing, but it's something I think I would enjoy. Watching the plant from seedling to harvest. Helping someone too. It just sounds like a great job.

right now, i give psychological tests for a living. one day in the not-terribly-distant future, i'll go to grad school and become a licensed therapist, and work with adolecents.
