Looking forward to that. I like this Durban that I got from RMOM even if it doesn't taste like much. I'd rather have it taste like nothing than that Master Perm I got from C3 - that stuff tasted like dirt.
RMOM had some AFwreck and I almost tried it. That'll have to wait until the next time I need meds.
I have had a chance to smoke a bit more of the AK-CB from RMOM. I really like it. It's got a decent taste and it does the job quite nicely. :thumbsup: Good pain relief. Not too bad on the munchies and lasts long enough.
My overall impression of RMOM is pretty good. It's quite a drive from the far northern side of Arvada/Westminster - but the quality makes up for it.
Prices are just a tiny bit higher at RMOM if you buy it per gram. $20 per gram at RMOM compared to $16 - $18 per gram at C3. But I am not the type of person to bitch about $3 a gram. I would much rather pay the extra $$ for the convenience of getting in and out in less than 10 minutes. Both dispensaries charge the same if you're purchasing 1/8th or 1/4 - so in my mind that makes RMOM the better store - same prices but quicker service and better medication. John even let me split my 1/8th into 2 different types - the Durban Poison and the AK-CB for the $50 price of an 1/8th. :thumbsup:

Get off I-70 at West Colfax. Head west on Colfax. Cross 6th Avenue and keep heading west on Colfax. Go about 1/2 miles west of 6th Avenue and look left (south) for Corporate Drive. There's a little oval-shaped tan sign there with some name (Corporate Center - ?) Head south on Corporate Drive and take your first left on Corporate Circle. Yeah, no kidding, what is that about? I am blazed out of my gourd right now on some new stuff I picked up that must be a rather HEAVY indica because it took me 4 or 5 times reading that to understand that there's no way I could understand what you mean because it's some off the wall comment.

Stopped here today - after I called for directions; it is actually the big white building with balconies that you see beside I-25 by the shopping plaza at Mexico and Colorado. From I-25 go north on Colo Blvd, right on Mexico by the shopping plaza, right behind it on Bellaire and keep on going right until you get there.
Went in response to a CL ad, first I've seen offering Lowryder crosses. They adverted Lowryder Diesel and Afghani Diesel for $40 an eighth. I've been lurking all over grow boards and I'm thinking about going as simple as possible for my first micro grow, so I was looking at autoflowering plants and reading reviews all over the place. Wanted to try one and see how it feels. I'm just firing up the Lowryder now, will let you know.
Very impressed with the set-up, three rooms (Drs room, clone room, bud room) and a reception/waiting area in a professional building (the Petroleum Club, original owner lives on first floor and is a patient of theirs). Nicely decorated, no dorm room/gang clubhouse stuff here. Looked very much like a professional office suite.
Bill, the owner, grows his own product; his wife (didn't get her name, sorry) was running the front desk - very efficient and professional. It was a Dr day, so busier than normal, but even with lots of gabbing I was out in 20 minutes - and I mean a lot of gabbing, I was trying to pick Bill's brains about my grow plans.
They had a wide selection of strains, variety of prices, good looking selection of tinctures hash and edibles, lots of good looking clones. The menu for buds and clones varies with what Bill is growing/working on
I was really low on funds so I just went with the low-priced twosome. They were more than happy to split an eighth between the two for me.
Bonus - this place offers their "420 eighth" - every day between 4:20 and 5:20 get an 4.2 gram eighth for the regular price, 20% FREE. I was there about 2 pm, but Bill gave me the extra as a first-time visitor freebie.
They do take patients for care but Bill indicates there are only a few spots left, I think he said they had 51 or 52 and he wants to cap it at 60 because he can't take care of more plants than that. If you give them caregiver status they'll offer you a 1/4 freebie each month and 10% off all prices.

And the lowryder diesel is sliding into place. Shredded about 2/3 of a small bud (ca 1/2 inch) in a straight glass pipe. I don't remember when I smoked my first lowryder but it was crap, a novelty smoke with no taste & very little punch. They've really improved it, I'm getting really smiley and relaxed. Still no taste, though, and almost no smell. I'm leaning toward growing in a DIY PC box with CFLs; a bunch of these in small bottles/pots would be really neat.
BTW - here's a grow log on this strain from someone going REALLY micro - one plant.

Update on C3 at 94th and Federal:
Tried some of the Hawaiian Thai Blueberry. Not a lot of flavor, but it sure does the job. :thumbsup: It looks good. Small compact buds with plenty of orange hairs. Lots of resin on the buds and well trimmed. Smells kinda fruity - it's a pleasant smell.
Took a pea-sized amount and broke it up very small. Dropped it into my glass pipe and took the first pull just glazing the surface of it to get that honey hit. It's not harsh. Very smooth. A slight citrus taste - but very very faint. Actually almost tasteless to me. Full burn on the second hit and killed the rest of it. No coughing fits. Very smooth.
First little bit was felt immediately. Took about 5 minutes to really hit me. It grew on me for about 10 more minutes until I was about as baked as I was gonna get. Nice heady high that lasted about an hour.
Pain relief was pretty good. Took the dull ache out of my back and relaxed my whole body.
I did get the munchies about 45 minutes after smoking. Fought it off and managed to get past the munchies with a glass of water. Forgot about the munchies in 15 minutes.
4 out of 5 stars. Would have been 5 stars if it had more taste. No taste is better than bad taste though. This one was basically tasteless to me.
Overall I'm happy with this one. I'd buy it again. :thumbsup:
I've also been smoking the Durban Poison and AK-Cherry Bomb that I purchased from RMOM in Golden. VERY HAPPY with both of these strains. The AK-CB has a better flavor and a nice high. It does help with pain. 15 minutes after taking 3 hits I couldn't remember my freaking name - let alone worry about any pain. The Druban Poison doesn't taste as well, but it's got just as much potency as the AK-CB. Very good pain relief and a high that leaves me not worrying about much of anything - except where I left the marsh mellow crispies............ :stoned:

I'm hoping to get a LONG post up here soon, but one major point I wanted to bring up was that C3's meds almost all have very little to no odor, and even less flavor. At least compared to what I had over the weekend. :jointsmile:
I understand that growers are aiming for maximum harvest yields, but some of us care about where our meds come from, what they are grown with and the taste and odor that they have.
I once heard a comment YEARS ago on OverGrow that 90% of KB buds were, according to one old school grower (who was widely respected on OG) "shit". He said that the perverted ways that most growers grew the herb and what that meant to ANY plant's ultimate makeup was undeniable. At the time, living in Schwagville USA, I had a hard time believing him that the KB nugs that I lusted over in High Times and on the web were "shit". But now that I've had the chance to try more than a few strains on a daily basis, I am beginning to see what he means.
Even if a bud looks great, lots of triches and all that, that does NOT mean that it's what it should be. At least to a snob like me :thumbsup:
