Day 6 for my single rooted clone, hereinafter referred to as Rochelle. She's looking good. Very perky, ready for action. It's a huge relief just knowing from the start that she's, well, a she. I'm going to have to break the updates down into two parts. I have more pics yet to take, and since I'm having problems, I have questions etc. For now, here's pics of my clones.
OH yeah, I'm doing the shotglass grow, so pics of my shot candidate are on that thread.
That's all for now. More to follow.:hippy:
very nice mrs. green! looking good.
i'm thinking about cutting down a goddess tree tonite; if you're interested... :D
edit: you should make a mom...
seems lots of people are getting new dots...Quote:

Okay, I had some yellowing leaves, so I gave the ladies a light dose of veg ferts for one feeding. Then, I decided to quit being such a slacker, and test my runoff. My soil was reading 6.8 and 6.9. My tap water was reading 8.0. My runoff was reading 8.0! So, using lemon juice for lack of a better product, I pHed my water down to 6.8, and flushed Lily with 12 gallons. She tanked within hours. I'm afraid she's not going to make it.
I didn't flush Pat, but she did get watered with the pHed water. She doesn't look as bad as Lily, but she's not looking real hot either.
Here's the kicker. My soil readings are still 6.8-6.9
So I bought a different pH kit. Taking a reading from the original kit, and one from the new one, I get two different results from my runoff. One says it's high, in the 8 range. The other says it's low, in the 5 range.
I am about ready to blow. I swear, when I was just giving them plain tap water, and only using my metered probe to test soil only, they were doing fine. Now they are the travesties you see here.
I'll be posting this in plant problems too. And I swear if that one mod comes in there and scolds me like these fucking plants are the Holy Grail, and I'm abusing the Baby Jesus, I'll quit and take my entertaining erudite self somewhere else.
I'm frustrated.:(

Wow, Mrs GJ I just checked in to this thread....so sorry about your plants! Wish I could offer something useful but no.....
Lots of luck...I will check back and hopefully see that they are better. :(
Thanks Weedhound. I appreciate your kind words.
Hello again ,
I read your whole log why you were away. Dont leave this place I just met you lol!
Looks like your plants are showing various deficiencies ms. greenjeans from nutrient lockout from the ph mishap. One question when you flushed her with tap water was it distilled (the 13 gallons)? Because the clorine in the water could have made her symtoms worse. From the one side view picture of lily she really dont look too bad , at least I dont think she's gonna die she'll probally be in shock for a week or so but I think she'll pull though it. Hmm lemon juice isnt so good it might have caused a sudden change in the ph , plus it dosent buffer very long. I wouldnt use it because id be afraid I would lower my ph too much with it. Has your tap only recently been reading ph 8.0?
I would say just give her some time to recoup, give her a feeding of some bloom fert when she dries out , sing to her a little , and she should liven back up.
Another thing what is your feeding schedule ,the plants could be looking a little bad if there was a salt buildup. And when you water with straight water do you water until there is a decent amount of runoff? (to help get rid of excess salt buildup)
How far along are you in flower because some leaf yellowing is normal during flower ( as there isnt as much N in the soil the plant will use the N stored in its leaves as needed until the flowering death dance is finished) giving a plant to much N in flowering could set back the harvest time by a bit.
I am a lil rusty on growing so these questions/answers may be a lil off this is just my 2-cents. lol
ps. check out my grow log again ,its comming along nicely:

I'm moving them to the new house today. I don't have a room set up yet, but they need to be moved or I can't care for them properly. I'll have to put them in a makeshift area for now. It will still be better than their current setup.
edit: Root, I typed a reply to you, and it disappeared. I'm tired today.
