These little buds (10"+ long) dried enough to try to smoke.
VERY sticky.... Very heady, I was laughing out loud at myself as I wandered around the hut trying to remember what I just forgot! Just from that one bowl full 6 seeds fell out of the buds! Surprise! : (
Now I don't know what the other plants may be doing. I carefully inspected and watered each plant every other day and never saw a banana or flower. Maybe some pollen survived the wash on the polinated plant.
Whatever, the pot is stoney. I need to get some testers and try some more.

MMMMM Shov may I nominate myself for the Testing Comittee? Save them seeds!!!! :D :D :D If you find more I'll trade ya!!!! I've had some spectacular feedback from that line... Can't wait to play with it some more!Quote:

I think the afghaniX will all get cut when I return (next Saturday).
I'll have to wait see on those bagseed plants.

Just back from my trip (early!)
I have to check trics in a few minutes, but the seeded plant I had drying is chock full of healthy, dark seeds. Hundreds fell out as I pulled the buds off the stems and the rest of the bud is still loaded with 'em.
The herb smells very strong, though I really can't describe it, only as sticky sweet. YUM!
I'm not done a lot of "testing" yet, but I have so much work to get done that I'll have to wait until this evening (again). My testers say that it's kick ass shit though. I think I may agree.

The plants have been flowering for 10 weeks and no amber trics, and just a few cloudies. It looks like the bagseed may finish first, although it's still snowy looking from the white hairy colas. The Afghanis pistols are mostly red and orange, but still putting out white hairy buds here and there...
11 weeks starting Sunday.

...after 10 weeks of 12-12.

The four AfghaniX plants are cut and hanging, the two bagseed are in the dark for 36 hours until I cut and hang them. Then I'll put the AfghaniXs in paper bags to finish drying.
The seeded plant is dry and is curing. It produced hundreds of beautiful seeds and the herb looks and smells wicked nice.
BTW, the two bagseed plants turned out quite different from each other. One is all finished with red hairs and one still has the two large white colas.
I'll put up some photos soon.

Wow. I hope I don't have to flower for any longer than 9 weeks lol. If I have to flower for 10 though, I will. Just going by the wattage of lights, your conditions are totally different from mines. I hope in the end I have nice fat colas like yours though!
Thanks, O-man. It takes what it takes for the plant to finish. I called it a game at ten weeks of flowering (16-18 weeks total).
Puff, Puff, Passs......

Obviously, these two plants (Y and Z) came from different mothers' seeds. I just cut and trimmed them today. They each weigh in at 4+ oz., as seen. I can't wait for them to dry and cure. They look and smell like good herb, and I've never saved seeds unless it was from exceptional herb.

Pic 1 could have gone a bit longer for sure
Pic 2 looks more on schedule
Either way, holy crap those are beautiful buds! The uniformity on the first set is really nice. And you have no burns or anything... yum...
Looks sweet shov.
Props. and happy smokin bro.
Crispi
Thanks! "Y" sure could have gone longer but Y and Z both have 50/50 cloudy-clear trics so after 10 full weeks of flowering, I cut 'em both. I sure hope that white plant is good. : )
I've tried the seeded afghani, and boy it's no slouch! Very good buzz!

holy crap indeed. so about how many watts did U use for thouse beautiful plants. and did you have any fans in UR grow box.
well I say U did a fabulous job.
Thanks again,
I used 334 watts of 4' flourescents (4) T-5 and (4) T-8. I added a 250W HID for the last six weeks. I use a little 12" box fan to blow air into the grow box. Nothing fancy, just enough to stuff the seven plants in there (2'X4').

I'm sorry that I couldn't show how the FIM worked on all the plants, but they just looked short and thick. Some developed two thick main colas, others grew as many as 8 main branches with smaller tops. The weights appear to be about the same, 3+ ozs for each of the (4) afghaniXbogs and 4+ ozs for the bagseed plants. The seed plant is only about 1/2 oz, dried with some of the seed removed. I think the FIM worked really well for this size grow. The only thing I may do different next grow is to remove some undergrowth, the little bottom branches.

This is a super good log, shov! Good job on X and Y, my mouth is watering! They look so very healthy and even! Let us know the smoke report of the bagseed, eh?
 Bree
Well the plants are all dried and into the curing jars.
The two back jars are the four Foxy Seed Afghani-Bog Medley. Total weight, four ounces of nice bud.
The middle jars each have one bagseed plant and weigh over one ounce each.
The front jar is what's left of the seeded plant, another Foxy Seed Afg X Bog.
[attachment=o143155]
To sum it up, a little over six ounces of dry buds. Costs; about $15 for soils and nutes. 334 watts of flourescent lighting for 18 weeks with 250W HID added for the last four weeks.
What do you think of this grow, effiency wise? : )

yumm yumm.
Herb is all dried and curing. Some samples tested by my friends show that it's all good shit. I find the head high is real positive. I like it a lot. I have not been able to sort out the different highs of each of the 3 varieties. Takes time, and lots of herb. <G>
Sho
how can we trust your friends? We don't know them....they don't know us. I say you send every single one of us a sample and we may write back and let you know how we liked it. If you don't hear from us, send more. :D
Sorry I missed the boat and just got here but looks like you did a great grow Shov. Good work.
my friends have lots of experience. But in fairness to all, I will send samples to the first 200 people. Let me know if you prefer joint, bowl or bong and I'll blow a hit into my PC for you. Let me kow how that works, WH. :)

lol. WH.
Testing, one two.....
The herbs are very good quality. I haven't been able to get through a joint in one sitting, usually takes three. Whoa!
The aroma has yet to be determined as much of the herbs are still curing and still smell like hay. The seed plant, which was cut weeks earlier has a great fruity smell and smooth taste as well as surprisingly potent for a full seeded mother. I love it.
The holiday is here and I hope to have more opportunities to wrangle some more taste tasters into service. : )
Happy Independance Day, fellow Americans!

Been keeping my eye on this grow for some time now. That's great to hear everything is going according to plan. A successful grow always = a happy day (well actually..many, many days :stoned:) Wish all the best to you, man! Good luck with everything and enjoy that sweet, sweet herb.
have a couple of Z Buds! : )

Beautiful! Happy fourth of July!
Well, after over a month of curing and testing I announce the grow a success.
The bagseed plants produced very tasty, herb. Two distinct varieties, both have a nice happy head buzz, good anytime from wake n' bake to bed time. The Foxy Seeds Afghani X is similar in every way to the bag seed plantw except they didn't produce the fat colas.
I harvested these at 10 weeks of flowering and the trics were still 50% clear with very few ambers. This gave the pot the high we were looking for.
Hmmm, I'll touch off a bowl soon and head off to church.
Sho
Glad it all went good mate, I too am harvesting my Afghani and it doesn't have as big colas as other plants I've seen, probably also due to early light leaks in my grow.
Well, back in April I cut slips and tried to set some clones. I only got four to take root and I put them outside because I was going to 12-12 indoors. Here's the one remaining clone (others were got by bugs and rodents when they were wee.
[attachment=o155818]
The plant is growing on it's side (the two foot long stem is staked to the ground). All that can be seen in the photo is the buds on the tips, but actually, each stem is loaded from end to end. The plant probably has six more weeks to flower.
Sho
Well, it's two weeks later and the plant was up above all the other growth. So, I bent all the branches over. Yup, snapped them right over, like I've done many times before. The buds are really growing and I still think four more weeks sounds right.
[attachment=o158090]
...and now it's very difficult to see this plant.

excellent stealth grow shov!
Checking for trics this am, for the first time. They are mostly cloudy but no ambers yet. I'll keep an eye on it. I'd like to see the bud change colors from the frost, but we haven't had any yet! Unusual, but we love it, another nice sunny morning here on the Canadian frontier. It won't be much longer before harvest. (Harvest moon tonight)

I agree with the above post, awesome stealth Shov! Sorry I'm a little late getting here.
Looks good man keep it up
Well, this plant has been patiently waiting for you. <G>Quote:

It's been growing outdoors since April.
Thanks for the support folks!

Wow- you can barely see the sneaky little gal among all that grass.
Did that af x bog really take 10 weeks to finish? Damn.
Nice work all around!
oh ya, and it was < 50% cloudy!
And now I have two of the inbred Foxy Seeds afghani hybrid plants that have shown sex in less than six weeks of 18/6.
Shov
Well, this is my last post on this grow. The clone was ready to pick. But someone beat me to it. Fuckers!
