Again another Light Question.

Yeah I can probably wire something, with the help you spoke of course. I've done some household wiring before. Also, I have a man around that could probably help too...no promises lol. I wonder how far apart are we, for shipping or meeting. How can we exchange addies? I know it's against forum rules. Don't break your neck if you do, in fact, decide to climb up on that ladder...I hate going up in my attic with a ladder just to get christmas decorations! I'm also extremely shaky, not to mention uncoordinated (see earlier posts about fimming all my plants, lol)!! I'm not familiar with the bulbs you spoke of, but I am assuming they are some kind of conversion HPS bulb for a MH ballast? Well had to move the ladies again. Won't explain, but will give a peek at how they are doing. They've been in flower 6 days. The def's have gotten a lot better, although I have been taking off the yellow ones. Which hasn't been many. Talk to you soon KP. Gotta run, haven't caught up with moving things around, grr. B

KP- they are both bagseed. Isabella's seed was thrown into one of my houseplants (not by me, don't know who put it there) and I began trying to save her. After two and half weeks of nothing, I came online and started reading....Thinking she could never survive after all the stress, I planted three more of some bag that was pretty good, and I could tell that it had been harvested too early....or grown weird because the buds were tiny....but the smoke was smooth.

I've included a pic of my set up, to show you that I don't have a surplus of room, the pic was taken by opening the door and standing back, HA!....I can't even move my lights up anymore because of that pipe in there...Now that I had to move them to there, I don't think I can go HID. I have to be able to clean my set up lickety split, if the need arises. Again, keep in mind this was not well thought out since I didn't plan on it!

Blueberry you say? Where do you get your beans? I'd like to try something better next go around. THanks for stopping in and being so helpful.

To the other readers: I've also included a pic of Cee-cee close up 8dys into flower, She has four of these bigger colas going on, and some smaller ones. Although I don't have a pic right now, Isabella has one MAJOR cola going on and some small ones that will probably produce near nothing, we'll see. If you remember, Cee-cee was fimmed (in true form, not planned) and Isabella was not. Also, for all those wondering about smoking males: Yes they can give you a buzz...if you have a low tolerance, and you smoke a butt-ton. These males were from veg. not flower. I definitley wouldn't break it out for your friends either, it tastes of nasty! Happy Tokin' on a Thursday! B

Hello all here we are at two weeks into flower. I have a resident assassin bug that has been in there for about a week....hope he stays but I don't have many bugs in there to keep him satisfied......sigh. This is not the same bug that was in there during Christmas...I think maybe the Assassin ate the other one...Also, gave the ladies first dose of bloom nutes yesterday. As you can see in the last two pics, I waited a bit too much for the watering. Goin to add those two other lights I have in the next week...tired of rotating the girls!! Happy tokin on a Thursday. Bodom- I am hoping they fatten up with these lights, like yours did..some of the ones on Isabella are really wispy looking, I don't know what I can do about that other than what is, is. Or what it be, it be. I loved the completion of your grow, I'll pop over there in a little bit to see if you have posted final weight.

Now that I am two 1/2 weeks of flowering, will vertical growth be minimal?

Hey yall, I'm moving kinda slow today (i am the canadian bear....had to much Labatt's last night, HA) but things are happening in the closet....lol. I'll just post some pics to let you see....

mc-blaze21- yes those are just CFL's. I have six now...since I already have two more bulbs, I am going to have eight once I have the reflectors. THey are only 23w 1600lu a piece....

GK- you hit it on the head with just a few more days of growth...I watered and they shot up a little, but have leveled off like you said.....now just happy little budding plants.

My assassin bug committed suicide, I saw him floating in my water bucket the other day....must have been real thirsty! The next day I was making coffee and I saw another little guy running across the counter, and I scooped him up with a spoon and put him in the room...so far so good. Unfortunately if you know anything about assassin bugs, they love dusty places. Therefore, I must not be as good a housekeeper as I had previously thought! I'm going to blame it on the heater running, pushing the dust out of the duct work around the house.....I've never had that cleaned, must be time after living here for 7 years...........Anywhoo on to the pics, Enjoy! If you notice Isabella looks like bud on a stick in most places...don't know if that was due to poor growing conditions in the beginning of her life or the strain....B

hey bree, just have a quick questio for ya. my veg room has all cfls. i was wonderin how much your plants grew in height since you put them into bud. my flowering room has a 400w hps unit so i know they are gonna get bigger than cfls can get them but i jut wanted a rough number so i can guestamate how big mine may get. thanks

I don't know really, since I tie them down. I didn't mesure :o . Guessing, I'd say they doubled in height...which I didn't even realize until I started comparing the photos! I'll include a pic of day of first flower -which was already in the log-and pic of today with soda can for size reference. Again please note they have had a lot of Bondage to be in this little area. If you are worried about height I've seen some people use thier blue spec (in your case cfl 6500K if you have them) in addition to thier red spec in the first few weeks of flower to help alleviate the problem. I think I may do this with the LST on my next grow. Hope that helped a little, thanks for stopping by. Do you have a log? Good Luck, Bree.

Actually pics taken 29 days of flower. Now have all 8 lights, turning the side lights into the main lights and using the fixture as a way to hold lights, lol... I also tore off all the tape and drilled holes in the lip so I could use bows from now on. MUch neater looking. Also watered with blackstap molasses/water today. Starting to see trichs. Isabella has more than Cee-cee. Isabella is a very lanky fussy plant...tiny little buds on her..Enjoy the pics, Happy Growin and Tokin...:jointsmile: B

thank you, and what should I do? I didn't feed last water (which was yesterday)....except the blackstrap molasses...does that contain N? Well, I decided to just water with plain R/O. I didn't even give them blackstrap. I also heavily watered because I think I had salt build-up. The N was too high (leaves are curled down like ram horns), I hope that I didn't stunt thier growth...I know it's bad to have too much N this late in flowering, :mad: Grrr! I also got a microscope today.....some of the trichs seemed to be amber already? I didn't think this was possible.....?

I have never seen that.... silly me..

If you could move that light around your garden.. it would be ideal.. Ideally it would rotate in a circle.. giving the plants both equal HPS and MH time...

Even a LINEAR light mover would be GOOD..

Yes, it is both MH and HPS. Light, mover lol....space is too tight...still only going to do a few tomatoes. [attachment=o117423] I'll have to get off my lazy duff and move them frequently. That is something to bring to my attention...!

Here are some pics of 6weeks, 42 days of flowering. By the trichs, I think I still have few weeks left. They looked pretty similar to the last ck, although I found a few ambers on Cee-cee which I had not before. I don't know if they look much different than last week...other than many more yellow leaves HA. I watered them with a little epsom (tiny bit) and about 1/16 of a feeding of 15-30-15. I doubt that would do much... They look a little wilted because they were thirsty. Happy Growin' and Tokin' :jointsmile: Bree
