man i bet the miracle grow is calibrated to work with unfiltered tap water. all these other growers with their ph adjusted or distilled water are messing up the system. wouldn't that be neat if miracle gro was made to be that easy. heh
peace ya'll

I'm using MG also and using tap water (PH has been a little high) and I'm having success with those plants (check thread about flowering or not). These guys are geniuses secretly.
why dont you check the Ph of the run-off? then you will know if it does work like that....Quote:

does anyone actually know the PAR values for these lights? i doubt anyone that uses CFLs in a grow would happen to have spent the money on a PAR meter? this tread should be a sticky.

Check out my grow I'm using MG, and yes I have had issues. I on the other hand am also using shake feed, It is working perfect since I started using the SnF. I have only had to flush it once, and that was only cause I was nervous. . . I am for sure going Hydro for my next grow. Can anyone link me to putting a clone into a Hydro system?

Halogen lights are great to light up your garage, but garbage for growing plants of any kind.
If you want good grow lights, look into MH (Metal Halide) and HPS (High Pressure Sodium) Or LED (Light Emitting Diode)
I've also seen some get away with CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light (The little spiral screw in bulbs))
That being said, I'm not a lighting expert, and check my sig line for more advice ;)
