I didnt take hardly any pics while I was there, to pissed off, but here are a few nice ones
As stated before this room is on going. By the time I get it exactly the way I want I'm gonna put a patent on it
Mainly redoing the ductwork for lights and exhaust. replacing as much of the flexible crap with soild duct work. Better airflow and less cleaning ...... Yipee!!!!
After 3 weeks vegging under floros. this weekend the cabinet finishes and the 400w cooltube running MH bulb joins the twin 600w with HPS bulbs for atleast 2 more weeks of vegging. You should remember that the big bush is the retired Mother. She will be flowering with her kids.
Enjoy
And since I took them anyways we have the cabinet finishing for the last time as it will be the new Momma's home. We also have there foursome in the tent. They are finishing week 5 veg and flip to flower this weekend.
That's a big ole girl.

Yup she a big one all right hehe. Been kinda worried bout flowering her as I not thinking it will take long before everything is on the floor from weight :D
You have got it dialed in...I will be working you to learn how you do it. FYI only car guys who grew up in the 70's know who/what this pic means. :)Quote:

Nice bike... the one with Death and the dogs? Looks cool.
Sunday I finally got the main lights hung up and finished the ductwork, Now lets fight the heat problem. 6" duct running from fan all through room to the other side where it changed to 3" for aprox 8' and then outside. Had some much restriction that I was blowing air out of the seems to the metal ductwork. Disconnected from where it dropped down to 3" and room temp got better but then basement temp went high. Caught my rez at 77.8 and wasnt happy. Last night I eliminated all the 3" except for what runs through the window and hooked it all back up to try again. Much better airflow than at first but still not where it needs to be. It will work but will be checking on replacing the last amount of 3" with either 4" or 5".
Yes SIR...YES you are on the wrong coast:wtf:Quote:

I am sure you guys will be out here someday...maybe go to the MED cup with me next year. We should enter some strains. The stuff this year was garbage. I laughed when they were presenting the awards for the best strains. (Vortex by Sub-cool is a good strain...but it is really worthy of a first place at the MED CUP? Highly questionable).
Well so far it looks like a got a handle on this heat issue. Removed all 3" untill where it goes through the window so basically removed about 8' of duct and eliminated about 3 bends
On a side note, the two plants we had in the cabinet and cut down this last weekend ended up being a lil over 4oz dry. Not shabby for 2 plants I guess. Cab is now retired and new home for new Momma.
I love it when a plan comes together...especially a long term plan finally coming to fruition. I would love to see it all in action in a series of pics.
I will see what I can do bout pics, not sure if have any before tearing down the 3" crap.
Just wanted to stop in and say I greatly admire your work. Top notch, clean and never looks like you cut any corners. Great job as always
Thank you Btf for the kind words :) I just do what everyone else does I guess ...... Trial and error and once you dont have but the occasional error you must be on the right path.
Had a couple of cool days and nights (July 1st and forcast tonite is 49 :wtf3:) so basement has had a chance to cool back down to it's normal temp. Trying to figure out how to get a larger diameter pipe through the window and outside without it looking really fucking weird LOL. I'll post a pic or 2 tomorrow so yall can look at my problem.
I took some picks of my venting problem from the outside, the only thing you dont see in picture is the road to the left that is about 20' away and no trees no nothing just open space. This used to be my dryer vent so it has always been out there so it is nothing new but I'm thinking if that baloons up to 6" somebody might be scrating there head thinking "Wow! That must be 1 big ass fucking dryer!!" and I dont want it to be Leo from the city or Deputy Dawg from the county because this road happens to be only 1 of three bridges going across a river so lets say it is well traveled :admin1:
Why not bring it up through the wall so u can bring the 6" all the way to the wall, and then modify one of those angled dryer vent covers to fit a 6" pipe.

You could remove the window, and build a sealed box around the opening on the inside of the room. Then run what ever size duct to that box.
i agree with tiki
You could make a sealed window box so easily for that tiny basement window.
sealed window box would proly be the easyest
I think you should do nothing...Just thought I should be the dick in the group...LMAO.
In all seriousness...You have come a long way...Box that window in...then we can call it a day!
Figures the person that wanted to be a dick was you Marty LOL ;)
Thank you so much for the ideas and if I would have read them before going to Lowes to stare at stuff in the plumbing/heating section to jumpstart my brain. Well I came up with a simple and stealth option. Bought a soffit vent which can accept either 4" or 6", removed the 3" from going through window and replaced by vent and my 6" duct goes the whole route now. Now to see if it works :wtf:
Sorry have not posted in a bit, have been battleing heat both in room and work. Last week was aprox 110 in the shop I work at and the end I have my tools and crap has no fan so no air circulation :(. Now battleing PH problem so tomorrow I will post some pics and shit so I can catch up.
damn... I had a ph problem myself this week. I have many water jugs that are identical... Well one of them hadnt been PHd yet and I watered with it. 8.8-9.0 water!
Few crispy leaf tips and some yellow blotches... think its under control now phew!
Hope your girls are doing good.
finished project pics of ventilation
more pics
couple of boosters added to 2 of the air intakes, will be adding 2 more I believe just have to get the $$$ and order them.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of or what to use when dealing with sharp bends in your flex ductwork??
and finally the girls. I put up a post one time and was complimented on how I show it like it is. I dont just show the good grows or plants I show whatever happens. Well this might out do the last post. Please no laughing out loud others are trying to watch the movie. Heat problems, PH problems and I hope the 2 or 3 peeps that just started using the Ebb&Grow system tune this channel in since all my mistakes should put them in MegaBud land
and more evidense of the accused in his attempted murder :beatdeadhorse:
The last pic is of our runt of the grow which has been named .......... "The Stick" :wtf:
Are they on the road to recovery??
Hope so.
Everyone makes mistakes... i know i know, even I do.
The exhaust to outside looks so much better now. Good job!
Oh ya... on some of those bends... they look like they are bending from twisting and pressure.
I used those potato chip bag clips to pinch the metal wire part of the duct. Hard to explain but if you can keep those bends compressed then they wont twist around like that in some spots.
I would say just use less so there isn't an enormous amount left over to put somewhere. Other then that, try and compress it and get like a brace of some sort(like you would for a broken arm) and just hold all the excess straight in the brace.Quote:
