Nice, nice. I'll keep watching if you keep posting, Bub! Thanks for sharing.

Super nice looking Ladies you got going! Don't mind if I tag along to the end!
Keep up the great grow they are gorgeous! :thumbsup:
My girls are almost to the day as far along as yours! :)
''Always a pleasure having you around man, I think I'm gonna stick here in my own thread for a while. Seems a tad hostile in the forums lately and I'm a sucker for getting roped into a debate. I do try my best to be cordial in all my posts, but sometimes stupidity gets the best of me.''
Well Irydyum iv posted shit i regretted before as i think most people have and one got locked up:mad:. But honest debate is how everything gets understood, at least IMO. And if, and i say if there is something going on i might want or need to know, shoot me an email bro. I can take any criticism thats put out, if understood. If you recall, you were the hardest on me in the beginning, but look at how iv improved. A lot through my eyes so if there is something i need to check let me know man:jointsmile:. But i guess if its none of my business, i get ya man:)
In the mean time il be here watching fore sure:cool:
:rasta:
It's all good man, just letting my personal problems overflow into here. So, i'm going to duck back down and continue lurking. I'm just going to keep pushing on, and keep myself inside the grow forums. No off topic BS for me again:thumbsup:
Thats cool Irydyum, iv said shit on here thats way off subject, only because this is where my life is sadly. I don't have any real friends in the area and have vented my personal life here, i guess because i feel comfortable with people here i consider my friends. I tend to stay in the grow forums because everyone shares my interests and i want to learn more. But living with the person i do, others have peeps they can vent to, but other then a couple people, you and a few others know more about me then the others in the ''real'' world, but very much appreciate that i can do this. Iv tried to go to other areas and been to other chat type sites, but as i consider myself a very good communicator, but not through typed words on a computer. But here it just feels different for reasons unknown.Quote:

As far as the LED/HPS thing, i believe it comes down to experience and personal choice. Hell im a cfl guy, so i can see myself really mess up a grow with ether. And would need to re learn most of what i believe how its done:wtf:. I sorta thought you started this only out of curiosity of the led and said in the beginning, you have a good relationship with your 400:thumbsup:. But with your level of growing, i can understand your curiosity with what the LED's can do. And i never looked at it as a contest, but understand how you said some may see it that way. And was smart as i know you didn't want to add a bunch of venting with an extra 400hps with a move coming, makes no sense. Smart move IMO:jointsmile:
So ya never gave any details to the ''inspired grow'' you had ran into, id like to hear what could possibly spark you with your already killer skillz:thumbsup:
Later bro:rasta:
Well I'll be...Quote:

I've seen some of that on my current grow. One of 4 strains I'm growing showed the pockmarks/speckling on the fans. This is the first time using the BM on this strain, so I suspected it might be the culprit. :detective1:
Nice job on this, good looking grow. :greenthumb:
Yeah, stupid strawberry pocks. It's my own fault though, if I was using my brain I would have flushed hard after the bushmaster, knowing how strong an additive it is.
Should have applied, then 2 days later, flushed like a monsoon. Next time, if there is one. :)
Cartman, drop a pic in over here of it if you don't mind. I'll grab a pic of mine tonight, and we can compare notes on em. I'm guessing they'll be from the BM, but it would be cool to see them side by side. Thanks for dropping in:thumbsup:
Here's a pic of the spotting as promised. After some closer inspection, all the BM plants have it to some degree or another, while the non-BM plants are green and healthy as could be.
[attachment=o248150]
You can see all the yellow dots pretty clearly in this pic. I'm certain it's from the bushmaster. Just strange that me and E.C. are the only ones that have noticed it. Is this what yours look like?
Perfect pic Irydyum. You can see the yellow little spots, but do they go through the leaf, or are they visible there? And can this lead to something worse? I didn't see any on the newer leaves. And what do you do to stop it, or are your just puzzled over the fact that this is the first time in 3 years you got them as thats the last time you used the bushmaster? And could it be possibly that the leaves got moist from humidity and the lights burned them>?
Are they on a lot of leaves or just the big fans? Of course i cant figure it out, but if i get them id like to know what the hell im up against.
Just never seen them, nor have i heard of anyone with the issue. All the questions:wtf:
Good luck bro:rasta:
They don't go all the way through (yet), but they seem to be getting s l o w l y worse. I can't say that I much care either since everything is producing well and it doesn't seem to be affecting them.
I'm not puzzled really, i'm fairly certain it's the Bushmaster that's responsible. Whether it's presence in the soil caused the soil chemistry to change (since I use organic soil), or the actual plant changed, I know it affected something, i'm just not positive what exactly.
There's not really a possibility of light burn/humidity, I never notice any condensate anywhere, and it's too uniform in it's appearance to be related. I would expect something like that to be sporadic, where this is very uniform. It has started at the leaf margins near the serration, and ever so slowly crept inward toward the veins. All instances are the same pattern, just varying in how much they were affected.
It's pretty much isolated to the larger, older fan leaves. I don't see any spotting at all on the leaflets near the buds, so like I said before, I'm not really too worried about it.
I just wanted to throw it out there so everyone could see it well, and keep a close eye when they use BM. I'm leaning toward a change of sorts in soil chemistry or in the microorganisms that reside in the soil. I'd be interested to see if anyone that's used BM in a hydro system had symptoms like this. My guess would be no, but it's just a guess. I only say that because it appeared gradually a week or so after application. I would think that a res change in hydro may keep this from ever showing up. Just speculation though.
good speculation...i get those on my bigger fans also...i never worried about it but wondered what caused them....now we know :jointsmile:
"and knowing is half the battle!"
I used to love G.I.Joe when I was a kid. Always used to pretend I was Snake Eyes and sneak up on people :rambo:
Looking spectacular irydyum! :thumbsup:
Took a look at yours, spots look quite similar, but instead of originating on the margins, mine sort of "popped" across the whole leaf a couple days after application of the BM.Quote:

This grow, I didn't add *any* nutes. Simply up-potted with FFOF, until hitting 'em with the BM. I gave 2 applications @ full-strength, without any flushing. I'm sure the FS application is a bit much, but I wanted them to stop..*NOW*! :D
I think I'll try a flush, like you mention, next time. ;)
Sorry for the crappy pic, getting this camera to focus where I want can be a challenge. You can see the spotting in the background on this fuzzy shot.
Another 6 days down, another who knows yet to go. Things are really looking quite frosty all over the place right now, I'm shocked as to how early they have all decided to trich up. Since they are some smaller clones, the size isn't very impressive, but the trichs are truly coming out everywhere.
Starting to see some yellowing in the older fans, nothing I'm too concerned about. Just switched this week from Big Bud to Overdrive, and still running the Bud Candy. I'm watering every 2-3 days as well, the smaller containers are hard to keep up with. I'm used to the 5 gallons that go up to 5 days without drying. This just gives me more opportunity to feed them, and they are getting the wet/dry cycle they need.
Here's a few pics from today. Finally, some respectable bud porn!
FROSTY FROSTY.....looks awesome :thumbsup:
:smokin:
Wow^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^what Srra8 said:thumbsup:
:wave1:
:rasta:
man! those look amazing, iry! :thumbsup:
you make my grow log look sad! haha.....someday mine will look that good! practice, practice, practice and a ph pen! :jointsmile:
Here we are day 37, things are right on schedule. Been feeding weekly still, will continue for about another week or so. Don't really have too much to add, so on with the pictures:thumbsup:
First set here is the Sierra Kush. Nuggets are dense as hell and frosting over quite nicely. Some of the larger older fans are yellowing off now, right on time.
Second set here is of the NL/Skunk. It's putting on quite the impressive main cola along with a nice crown of nugs around it. Excited to see what this turns out like.
Finally we have what I believe is Silver Spur. I say believe because it smells and looks remarkably like the Church from my last grow, and there is a possibility what I received may have been mixed up. Who cares really, the stuff looks like fire and I only have one plant of it, so I don't mind if I don't have a proper name for it. I'll still smoke the hell out of it:thumbsup:
I hate it when that happens. I write everything down in a journal and when I read it I can't believe what I wrote..."Hey, that Neville's Haze fems were supposed to be Afghani Dream x BOG Medley!"...or whas that visa versa??? :wtf:
Yep, fire is fire though. Just cross breed it and give it a whole new moniker. :cool:

wow! wow! wow! ... f'kin' awesome pics, too! that close-up took me by surprise ... in a good way ... :smokin:
Thanks for the kind words. It has literally taken me thousands of photos to finally figure out how to do it in a flattering way. For every good picture I have, there's probably 20 bad ones on my hard drive. I can honestly say that growing weed has taught me something about photography, talk about a rewarding relationship :thumbsup:. I love blazing one up and having a "session" with the girls, lets my mind relax:stoned:Quote:

Wanted to show how they come back after a bad burn up job outside.
Looks great as always man and thanks for the show:hippy:
:rasta:
Certainly not. Growing 13 outta 15 from cuts so the buds are a little smaller than most of mine. Just as good of quality though, if not better. The one exception is one pheno of the NL/Skunk which has quite the cola. I'll try to get a size comparison pic of it.Quote:

ALso have to agree.....growing weed can also teach you all about photography! I'm still getting to grips with the camera, still gotta get in the loft for the tripod too, but seeing the pics on your screen is fun....zooming in and out and just staring at the buds! Sure hope my grow looks half as good as yours in the next few weeks!
Oh, and please please tell us how much weight you get....so many logs abruptly stop after the plants are chopped down, and we never get any further updates.....but I'm sure you won't leave us on a cliffhanger like that!! :D
I'm off to dream about nice big colas and heavy smokin :rastasmoke:
I promise to see this one through to the end. I'm not shy about giving numbers on my grows at all. This one may happen a bit ahead of schedule since I have an impending move coming, but I'll shoot it straight either way:thumbsup:
I agree though about the unfinished logging around here, it sucks to watch a grow in it's boring entirety to have a drop off right before the best part. I'll probably be back around a little later on with another picture update, 43ish days now, and I'm amazed at the swelling goin' on.
Man dude it would be way cool to burn one with ya, just sittin in your grow room surrounded by the girls. Getting that good high and bullshitting. :thumbsup:
If ya ever get close bro:cool:i got some interesting stories i think you would like:jointsmile: Il be around 43rd day for sure man.
:rasta:
Holy crap it's getting close. I cut a small nug off the unknown plant (the lowest branch on the plant) and dried it to see if I could identify what it was. I'm 99% sure it's the Church cut from my last run. Here's a picture of it. I have a feeling she may do some color change if I can keep it cool.
[attachment=o249410]
Here's your size comparison LSY :) I didn't know what else handy to put up.
[attachment=o249411]
Here goes a couple different Sierra Kush plants. The greener of the 2 (left) was flowered half the time under LED, and since under HPS (about 12 days). Had to move all the larger sierras under the HPS because they were just itching to put some weight on, and it's paid of well:thumbsup:
[attachment=o249412][attachment=o249413]
Here's one of the smaller Sierras, it's about a foot tall. Nothing really but LED for this one, it's on the complete opposite side of the HPS.
[attachment=o249414]
Here is the Church plant. I took a cut off one of the leaves from the main cola about halfway down to check out under the scope today. Day 43 and I saw my first amber trich. That's pretty fast. Granted it's not done yet, but to see it this early is nice, don't really have to worry about a premature harvest at this point.
[attachment=o249415][attachment=o249416][attachment=o249417]
Here is the indica pheno of the 2 NL/Skunk plants. It stayed much more compact than it's sister (which is sativa all the way) and is really beginning to pack on some nugs. The smell of it is something hard to describe, it reminds me of cherry cough syrup or something like that. Very tart, almost cherry but not cherry candy. Surprising that it smells nothing of NL or Skunk.
[attachment=o249418]
Last but not least has been my favorite little one this run. It was flowered right after it rooted and a branch from beneath the soil emerged and kept pace with the main cola, kinda looks like a slingshot or wishbone. I left it in a gap on the HPS side, shaded as hell, but it's put on some nice little golfball tops.
[attachment=o249419]
I'm planning on cutting the sierra and the church within about 12 days. The NL's may get to go a little longer if I can afford the time. They'll likely get one more light feeding, then it will be time for the great flood. Nothing but water till I'm home. I have given some thought to an Ice Water flush and maybe 2 days of dark before chop, but I'm undecided as of yet. I have been reading about the ice flush in another forum and i'm curious to see if it has any merit. As with everything else in this game, who the hell knows for sure. The logic seems plausible, if you can get the ladies to believe it's frost time, maybe it will stress them into more trich production? Maybe I'll try and let you all know what I think. Till next time, peace.
Iry
looking B-E-A-Utiful my friend :thumbsup::thumbsup:. looks like we will be harvesting pretty close to each other. cant wait to see what your dry amount is:D.... im giving my girls only a day of darkness and never heard of the ice method, need to learn more about it, so let us know what you decide to do. keep on :jointsmile:

Man irydyum they look so healthy an with that nice green. Buds are getting more frosty ever time ya post pics. The skunk looks like its going to be fun to burn too dude, im really liking this grow. And im sure your smiling too:D
You created some beauties man:hippy:

See Ya:rasta:

Got a new toy in the mail today so where I'd normally post up bud shots, I'm getting down to the nitty gritty so you all can see what I see around harvest time.
First 2 here are different levels of zoom on the Church. The first pic is a close up of an upper bud leaf, while the second is of the lowest bud on the plant. There is definitely a noticeable difference in maturity.
[attachment=o249958][attachment=o249962]
The second 2 are the same shots but of the Sierra Kush. Also a top leaflet, then a lowest bud. Same trend is apparent here.
[attachment=o249960][attachment=o249961]
Lasty, and most surprising of the bunch to me is the NL/Skunk. This leaf is off of the more sativa pheno. I didn't think I would see anything but clear, maybe a touch of cloudy, but the pic speaks for itself.
[attachment=o249959]
those trichs look cool....you can see some sort of star inside them from the lighting :thumbsup:
:stoned:
DanG!:cool:
Do those gals ever see any UVb?
Wee.
I couldn't tell you with certainty. I can tell you it's a Hortilux Eye, 400w and it's in a SusSystem hood behind what I believe to be UV restrictive glass. Unless I got some super spytech UV LED in one of those nifty bars, I don't believe there is any.
