Very nice
oh yes! how could I forget this thread!
you got mad skills, man! :D
Wow irydyum, killer looking plant man. The colors in that bud would make for a nice framing project. I thought about getting a nice pic of something i grow and frame it and hang in it in my grow space. Your avatar pic would be a nice piece of art on your wall. Hell il bet there might be a market out there for weed porn art:hippy:
Later man:rasta:
i have GOT to see that shit cured! :yippee:
So the Church, half the Widow, and one AMS are down now. Still have a trainwreck chugging along, and a christmas tree shaped AMS. The Church came down at 50something, widow tops came off at 55 and an AMS chopped at 59.
I cut the tops off the widow and put the lower growth back under the lights. It's been that way for almost a week now and it doesn't look like anything has changed much to me. I'm not sure how long I should let it take up space.
As for harvest of the other 2, i'm just waiting to let mother nature dictate when to take them. Here's a few pics of the last remaining ladies. I'll keep posting through harvest and try to include a lineup of all the cured goods once i'm there.
Thanks for dropping in:greenthumb:

I love the control board you made. It even has the mini fire extinguisher. hahaha. nice grow too.
(I am going to have to steal that control board idea)
god damn son, all i can say is holy fuck! and as far as the end result, well for some reason i think i'm chinese lateley!

Just wanted to put up a couple pics of the dried AMS. The one plant yielded about 90g dry, can't be upset at all with that. Haven't really smoked it yet since it isn't near cured, but i'll put my 2 cents in on all of them once this grow is done.
Trainwreck and AMS #2 are on day 63 today, i saw some amber trichs on the trainwreck yesterday under the scope, so it's going to be coming down within days. As far as the second AMS, I have a feeling it's right on time too.

WOW
After looking at pics of what people call "the real Arcata Trainwreck" and looking at yours, I'd rather have yours (and mine that I grew out also :)) You'll be very pleased with the smoke I'm sure ;) Nicely done.
Thanx for those kind words Finn. I hope it lives up to all the hype. I have only had legitimate trainwreck once before, and it was years back, I'm excited for the reintroduction.
Btw, smoked a lil nug of AMS and I'm having a hard time typing.
Wow, I've been gone far too long. =D Glad to see you (iry) and Shakezoola doin' the tagteam. Those babes look absolutely fucking gorgeous.
I did make a move from Oklahoma to Washington, so hopefully I can get my card and start up without any concerns.
You guys take it easy and most importantly, have fun.
be
what it do be? what's good with ya? i hope all is well.
i can't say that we tag teamed it, as i'm merely daniel-san to his mr. miyagi! i have learned tons and become a better grower. but i do help him tag team pipes and bongs
and shit!
all i did was post the initial pics cause he was too lazy.
glad to see you back! don't be a stranger.

Trainwreck is officially cut at 65 days. Looks wonderful, I can hardly wait to see what it turns out to smoke like. I noticed a couple of the tiny lower buds had a seed or 2 in them, but I expected that. Stupid trainwreck hermie. But, it doesnt seem to have a bunch, and the buds are rather large, so I don't really care much about the beans. It's funny how nothing else has seeded. I wonder if hermie pollen can be sterile to other plants, but not to itself? Anyone have any scientific insight on this?
Anywho, here's a few pics from the trainwreck on chop day. I still have one AMS going, and from the looks of it, she will only last another day or 2.

The ladies look beautiful
I have been wanting to do trainwreck or AMS but have read/seen to many stories of them herming.
But your ladies are making me re-consider purchasing from GHSco
I do have a few from them in veg right now that I would like to flower soon.
When I get the chance to post a log hopefully you can drop by, the setup is very similar but I feel like I need more space. How much space do you have between each lady?
Your observations of AMS and TW are right, they both have a tendency to hermie. All of mine have, fortunately, they appear to be sterile for the most part. I had one TW so bad in the beginning I had to chop it about 3 weeks into flower.
As far as space between each lady, by the end of flower there was about negative 6" between them. I'll put a couple pics here to show you how much they filled my space.
Great pictures shows exactly what I was wondering.
I wasn't to sure if they would grow right all bunched up together but they look fine there. The setup has 2 hoods with a 6in inline fan to cool them down, so the temps stay at 78 most of the time. Your ladies look great and you said the temps stay around 84??? Not to sure but I thought high temps slow down growth but this log is making me rethink what I've learned.
I did have another question sorry to clutter up your thread but when did you transplant into 5gal? I have the same square pots but I'm deciding if it's ok to transplant during flowering?
Thanks for sharing
Temps are something that you learn to deal with if you have to. I'm about to buy 2 air cooled hoods for my lights because I'm fed up with it. They may do even better with cool temps, unfortunately I won't know till next harvest. I'm sure they won't get worse though.
I transplanted them about a week before I switched to 12/12. I noticed crazy growth crazy fast for the first 3 weeks they were in em. The extra root space plus the stretch from flower they looked like they were on plant crack. They didn't really stop growing up until about week 5.
In retrospect my next grow is going to be sea of green again. I just had these seeds and had to start something, so I figured I would give them a try. I have trusted genetics lined up for the next one and it should be a great show.
As far as transplant during flower, everyone has their thoughts. I feel that the extra root space and nutes would outweigh the eventual strangulation of your plants. I have never done it, so I can't speak from experience. However I have never stressed my plants by transplant either. I use all the same soil and I just use an identical container as a form to fill soil around in the larger container. With a nice tight little negative pressed in the new soil, I slide the roots out and they fit like a glove in the new container. I water and they never miss a beat. If I thought it was necessary I wouldn't hesitate to transplant one of mine in flower. Just my :twocents:
Sounds good I might just transplant, they show roots at the bottom of the square pots but I also heard that it is a good thing.
If you are investing I'm air-cooled hoods I would make sure they are sealed, like I said I have to and any crack will make it harder to completely remove the heat in each hood. I managed to put a peice of duct tape around the areas that I suspected of having a air crack.
There are many advantages, you can have the lights closer and let the ladies hit the glass and not have to worry about them getting burned.
Thanks again and I hope your next grow goes perfect, a green thumb like yours needs good genetics.
Finally, at day 68, the remaining AMS has come down along with the other half of the widow. Not a whole lot else to say except for it's empty in here :(
The AMS had a rather large cola on it, and looks to be a pretty good yield. I'll get finals on everything here as soon as we're all dried and jarred.

WOW at Pic #3
I recently posted my log and a couple pics of the ladies, I hope the cola on atleast one of my ladies look like yours.
Well? How was the church? Did you find it a tricky strain to grow after everything was said and done? And the smoke? Good? So-so? Fill me in I've got mine going O.K. and hope I made the right choice. Yours looked like it was the shit.
@Warlord, the Church wasn't tricky at all. Just like every other hearty indica for the most part. I can't remember anything special about it during the grow except the fact that it put on a ton of trichs quickly. It was gooey as soon as it had little budlets on it.
Out of all the strains I grew this time, it's probably the only one I would even consider growing again. All of my others this run had hermie written all over em. Only found 3 beans so far tho, so it isn't as bad as I had thought. The Church was solid though, no signs of hermie at all. It seemed to be the quickest finisher of the bunch too. Wasn't a huge yield from it, but it was really nice smoke.
about the church:
she's a bit finicky as a clone. granted the clones i received had to endure a 35 min car ride home. she rooted slowly and has been throwing stressed leaves since. currently she is throwing single or two-bladed leaves that are over 7" long. again, not saying it's the strain particulary, but i've also had clones of the tw and ams that made the same car trip that rooted faster and didn't show signs of stress. i can update as she continues to grow.

:thumbsup:thanks I cant wait for mine to come up. headshake I would be interested to see your church as it goes along.please make a log. thanks again
you guys are more helpful than you know
That sir, puts new meaning to the phrase "12 pack" :)
your shit is lookin killer bro:thumbsup:
I had some time tonight to read threw the entire thread. It was a great grow. Very interesting thoughts on cutting the leaves off for the flush. I am going to think about that one for a bit and if I come up with some interesting insight I will let you know.
Peace
Thanks for dropping by Vaped:jointsmile:
Demoreal, if you figure something out, please let me know. I'd love to hear any insight into it.
I thought about it for a little bit and came to the conclusion that is a good idea to trim the fan leaves during the flush. There is stored mobile nutrients in the fan leaves. Leaving them on would result in the newer growth and leaves close to the flowers to live off these nutrients leaving them with a bad taste. If you cut them off The new growth would not have those nutrients to live off of, It would then start living only off the clean water, leaving the buds with a proper flush. This is a much faster and efficient flush than leaving the leaves on.
Really smart idea you thought up. I will start doing it as well.
Wow irydyum i knew that cola was big, but putting it aside the 12 pak just blew my mind. Great job man:thumbsup:
Ya got some mad skills there my man:clap: Do you have any plans as to what you want to grow next grow?
See Ya:rasta:
or would you leave them on so the plant has food so you can flush longer?
wicked nice cola!
For anyone that's been following my grow along here, i've made some improvements for the next run. New carbon filter, 2 new air cooled hoods, brand new hortilux eye bulbs, and a 150w LED bar. Hoping to see beautiful things under em pretty soon, should have some Sierra Kush clones under the new lights by the end of the week. Here's a few pics. Random shot, the nug, is dried and finally cured Trainwreck from the last run.
Oh yeah, HAPPY 420 CANNACOM FAM!!!! :joint1:
Very nice indeed! A pleasure to watch!
