any pics maine?? i usually take almost all the fans off 2 weeks before harvest.. only the ones where i can see the stem of the fan touching the stem of the plants if that makes sense ... the fans that are in the buds i dont ever touch until its trim time..!! :hippy:

this is the newest addition to the DIG. she is just over a month old and has been topped once. her number is A-1 and im gonna call her 'Steak' as she looks nice and meaty to me.. lol
-
(D)iscrete (I)ndoor (G)row
i have moved the rest of the 'A Series' from veg to flower today..
they are all approximately a foot tall and have all been topped to increase branching for this run..
all have showed pistils and are supposedly female so i am hoping for another few ozs when they are done flowering.. i am hoping that by not just throwing them into flower right after the broke ground i will see both a faster flowering response and a bigger yield..
on an even more positive note i have successfully made 2 clones with no rooting powder and nothing but a peat cube..
the clones are from the big plant at the back of the DIG.. i call he Big Mamma and the tall one that i call Legs..
these are going to be my mother plants until i get some serious genetics from the internet or from some of my peeps around here.. lets hear it for medical cannabis and the increased availability of genetics..
so the first couple pics are of the new mothers in their solo cups with promix.. first 2 are Big Mamma last is Legs.. she seems kinda small right now but i have much faith in her..
then i have a couple of the whole DIG.. it is now packed in there!
later tonight i will put up some more bud shots of all of the gurls that are in the latter half of flowering..
thanks for stopping by and comments are always appreciated.

A-5 was a hermie too!! :wtf:
i think that i now understand my ability to get 100% fem seeds.. they were hermie seeds so they all ended up being female!! but some didnt want to stay just fem.. :wtf: :wtf: they wanted to fuck up my crop! :wtf: i hate hermies :finger: and will mow very seriously consider getting genetics online  lets hope he didnt hurt things anymore then already were..

all of the plants are looking good except Big Mamma.. she is still very yellow in the new growth.. i have tried using PH'ed water set at 7.6 and will do so again tomorrow.. the rest of the smaller pots are doing good and dont seem to have the same problems with nutes that the multiple plants per pot.. (learning experience)
i am going to feed and water the smaller pots tonight and may post some pics of the problem plant for ya'll to comment on.. i hope you have some new suggestions for me.. BTW i checked the runoff PH and from 7.6 it went to 6.5!! i think that was the problem and i will continue to fuck with them and try to dial the feeding in better..

(D)iscrete (I)ndoor (G)row
Let's see some pics of the problem. 7.6 won't kill anything, but it has messed with nute uptake for me in the past.
What is the EC and source of the flush water?
If it's real 'soft' water, it only needs to come in contact with a very small amount of acidic soil to drop its pH to almost that of the soil.
If you're using RO or distilled, with no buffers, you can pH it to 7.6, run it through a 6.4 pH pot, and have it come out at almost 6.5 (just for example).
OTOH, a stiff nute solution might go in at 7.6 and come through a 6.4 pH pot at 7.5 (again, made up example, please pass the 'pH-Up' to set this up :D) especially if the medium's inert / not-well-buffered.
Hope this is making sense. 'Softer' water's gonna swing hard. One DROP of acid will dump the pH on a bathtub fulla distilled. Sorta. :D
What I'm getting at is I'd rather flush more thoroughly with water closer to the target value, than less thoroughly with water PH'ed to move the pH all at once. I've run in the low 5's (5.2-5.5) in soil without problems, so I wouldn't rush trying to get the pH up. :rastasmoke:

(D)iscrete (I)ndoor (G)row
here are some pics of 'Big Mamma'..
-
(D)iscrete (I)ndoor (G)row
here are some pictures of some other gurls..
they dont seem to have the problems that "big mamma" has or they are way less of a problem..
i think with the info you have given me then i may just have a nute deficiency/lock up.. but not from ph then.
all of the gurls seem to have been seeded by the #4 plant that went hermie in the beginning! that is too bad but it is a good learning experience and i will be much more aware of hermies in the future.
from now on i will cut any suspicious plants before they become a problem.. i can always start more but i cant un-seed them after the damage is done..
also i have decided that growing from bagseed is a kinda dangerous venture and should be undertaken with care and vigilance (bag seed can apparently be from hermies!)
now that i have a couple plants that seem to be doing good i will use them as mothers and not plant too many seeds that i dont know the origins of..
thats all for now but answers are always appreciated even if a question isnt asked..

Those girls look fuckin 'GREAT' Maine!
Is 7.4 not considered a High PH?
I've been feeding at 5.8 - 6.5...I am using coco though.....Couldnt tell you what my run off is?
....whats the recommended PH for soil grows?
-
(D)iscrete (I)ndoor (G)row
good to see you m10..
it was getting kinda boring here and i was just reading random shit..
not sure about PH but the reading that i have been able to do has lead me to believe that my soil PH is WAY low and it needs to be brought up..the plants seem to agree with that assessment and are doing better and better.. i think.
6.8 seems to be the agreed upon PH for soil and i think that ~5.8 is what is recommended for coco.. i have been thinking about playing with coco but have decided that both for acquiring and usage purposes MG and Pro-Mix are what i am going to us from now on.. the MG for veg and Pro-Mix for flowering..
thanks for the compliment man your look good too monny

i'd have to agree with the pH assesment. 6.3-6.8 is the ideal range for soil. with a high pH micro nutrients tend to be less available and at a lower pH macro nutes tend to be less available.
you said that yellowing is only effecting the new growth?

could be an iron def. which is often found with zinc and manganese defs as well. all of which could be caused by a high pH.
that's my best first guess. you can try the troubleshooting form for better/more solid opinions.
hope this helps.

When new growths are showin signs of yellowin, that means that there are a deficiency or the plant have too much nutes? Too much nutes will lead to leave's tip to go brown and all. But for the rest I realy don't know! Too green leaves = too much nutes. And too pale leaves = not enough nutes. But if it has a deficiency of whatsoever, new growth will be yellowish?
:wtf:

What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...)
novice.. grown outdoors for years but put up with any losses by planting 50% more than necessary
Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's)
HPS 600 watt for flower.. 70 watt MH + 3X 26 watt 2700k CLF for veg + 2X 36 watt t-12 tubes for seedlings
.2) Distance from tops?
HPS = 6-12" MH & CLF & T-12 = 2"
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...)
HPS has a batwing in a homemade cab the top of which is sealed from the bottom and has a fan drawing air out of the room through the light..
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply?
..Um i leave the door to the room i grow in open most of the time so i would say yes?
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan?
exhaust and circulation and see above
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule?
already covered..
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...)
its just bad now.. i started with a hot batch of Coast of Maine soil.. it is what i and everyone else around here that can uses for growing outdoors :( didnt seem to love it. now am using promix and have transplanted to promix now
.8) Size of container.
35 gal tub has 6 plants.. the rest are in 2 gal pots
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings?
nope between paper towels straight into soil had close to 80% rate from seed to flowering.. reduced to ~50% after cut out males..
Your nutrients and water:
10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting?
tap water.. PH = 6.9
11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)
aquarium test kit
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
white vinegar / baking soda.. :( no PhUP :(
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering?
watering 1/3 of the time with no nutes.. giving each plant ~1/2 L to 3/4 L
15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
Nope.. i DO want CalMag but cant afford yet
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate?
honestly im not sure.. i have no way to really tell.. i think fluctuate though but that is just gut feeling
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
before i started to try to fix this mess it was about 6.0 - 6.3 after nutes. the only time i checked the runoff i sent 7.6+ PHed water through and got like 6.4 back!!
18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?
no i dont except for seedlings and then with straight water
Your growroom:
19) Indoors or outdoors?
indoor
20) What size of closet, room or hut?
two foot by four feet
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on?
76-ish @ ~30% RH
...With lights off?
65-ish @ ~50% rh
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom?
only ladybugs
Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?)
bag seed and IDK
24) From seeds or clones?
seed
25) Is this an autoflower strain?
never
there it is shake..
see what you think and PLEASE help

Lemme jump in her and say, 86 the vinegar and the Baking soda.
Vinegar will encourage slime molds and Sodium BiCarb. is way too much sodium.
You can use Potassium Bicarbonate as PH up and Lemon Juice as PH down safely without spending much.
But, Phosphoric acid is the best PH down that I've found.
Now lemme go back and see what da problem is.
Aloha,

Alors, est-ce que les feuilles qui jaunissent recommencent a etre en santé?
How many plants you got in veg and how many in flower?
Combien as-tu de plants en veg et combien en floraison?
How much time left before harvesting your oldest plants?

the clone was taken from a flowering plant. it takes the plant time to switch from flowering back to veg. try to remove as many of the flowers as you can and see if that won't help to kick start that lil' girl.
