Himalaya Gold: 1st grow log (advice appreciated)
That looks like a whitefly to me. I think it's a great picture btw.
I have never had to deal with them so rather than quote you something I don't know works for sure, I'd suggest you do a search for whiteflies on here and see what others have had success with.
Wierd, but i read that they are attracted to the color yellow. Might be a neat experiment to put something yellow with some tanglefoot or something on it and see if you can catch the buggers.

I've checked google and it does indeed look like thrips to me. I've found loads of sprays and pesticides with wierd long names that without a doubt will be impossible for me to find in this small town i live in....I hope they'll manage until harvest.
Just one problem after another with this grow. Then again, it is my first real "Pro" indoor grow so i guess its to be expected.
If any veteran growers have also had problems with these i'd love to hear how you dealt with them. Or if i should just wait until after harvest (2 weeks) then bomb the living FUCK out of my room.
Much Love :hippy:

If your harvesting in 2 weeks then there really is no point to rid them now. All you will do is make your buds possibly toxic with any of the pest shit. Ride it out till the end and when it's all said and done get some pyrethrum to "bomb" the grow room with. Basically it's that stuff at CVS that you spray on a bed to rid of bugs..... The stuff dissappates pretty fast so you shouldn't have a problem with residual spray caking up the walls and shit.

Hello again.
Back with new pics of the church. I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of bud that these girls have. We started flowering after less than a week in the veg cycle....and they still ended up like this
The Himalaya gold is also doing well. We wont be able to harvest all of them at once because a few are maturing faster than others it seems. But they are looking pretty great.
The thrips are becoming more and apparent with alot more leaf damage....which sucks but theres no point doing anything so late in the grow.
Heres some pics of one of the church girls.

Ok everyone,
Big news! I checked up on a few of them out of curiosity because they were always looking kinda wierd to me. So i look close and i notice 2 and a possible 3rd had hermied a while ago that i managed to miss. They all seem to be Himalaya Gold as well....which makes sense seeing how badly they got stressed in veg.
I'm deciding to play it safe this time and just cut down and harvest the 3 in question. I'm not about to risk the whole crop......Thankfully they all had some very nice buds on them. Keep in mind the buds on all of them arent fully matured..
There are about 4 or 5 more of them that look further developed and more mature than the others so they will also be harvested earlier than some....I'm guessing next weekend or maybe middle next week.
So anyways, i had a blast harvesting (despite how premature some were) the ladies. It gave me a real taste of whats to come....
So here are the pics from the first in a series of 3 harvests i'll be having. I have no idea how much we got total but a scale is on the way

OK everyone,
Heres the second harvest in a series of 3. This was much better than last time. We actually have fully matured fat nugs :D I got my scale in the mail but they havent fully dried and cured yet so theres no point posting the yield right now.
One of The Church was really looking nice and ready to go so i nabbed him as well. All i can say is wow!! Really really nice nugs on her.
So the next harvest should be the rest of the babies, and all of the very healthy ones so that will be the real harvest for me. I'll keep you posted.
Happy smoking
Well here are the pics, enjoy ;)

Hello everyone,
OK just stopping in after the last few harvests with more pics. More specifically a visual comparison between "The Church" and "Himalaya Gold." Let me know what you think.
So theres one more harvest to go, which will be 3 or 4 more plants. I'll keep you posted when i do pluck 'em :)
Enjoy :D

Hey guys and gals,
Just super bored so i figure i'll put up a little post with my plans for next grow and what i want to do different this time.
First of all, let me start with a yield report from this grow. Keep in mind this grow isn't quite over yet. I still have 4 Churches and 3 Himalaya left. My yield suffered pretty bad this time around :( All the stress from the super harsh soil in the beginning, combined with the need to transplant like fuck gave me a relatively small amount of bud. Hehe although it is really great stuff i would have liked to seen alot more and i think next time i'll be able to double of even triple the harvest.
The 7 plants i have left are the 4 Church that matured slower than the others, and 3 Himalaya Gold, which through some sort of events 2 had started vegging again. Or at least thats what i think has happened. Two of them started budding and looking nice, then all of a sudden it stopped and they grew around a foot more ( lol sorry , i dont know what a foot is in the metric system  ) As a result they are now MASSIVE and needed to be tied up. Lucky to have the big room that i've been blessed with :) The last Himalaya was one that was in the back of the room during the whole grow and didnt get near as much light as the others, so it hasnt really kickstarted fully yet. Check the pics, the really really big ones are the Himalaya.
I'll be looking forward to only having 10 growing next time. It would have been so much easier getting in and watering them, or trimming them etc.. I figure since this grow worked out i might as well keep going and grow again. Hopefully no one has caught on yet ;)
Well i'd like to thank all the people followed this thread and gave me advice through the rough times this grow. I'll be looking forward to seeing you next time. I'll just post a new thread when i'm ready to go and as always, i'll try and keep you posted Smile
Well here are some pics of the dry and (mostly) cured product and what my closet is looking like now.

They are tooooooo big for an effective indoor grow, I know of several people who have nice outdoor children at are 12' and they are 8' in diameter.
Try them outside, you'll be much happier!

so very true. these girls get HUGE! It was a great experience though, no regrets here  I also think they would have thrived better outdoors... I believe Himalaya Gold is the fastest growing indica GHS has at the moment, thats what made me try it.
It would be a shame to let all this equipment go to waste though :)
Happy Smokin

been the biggest outdoor producers I've seen. We're at 2000' elevation on east side of the Sacramento valley.
The only caviots are that they need lots of water and don't handle 100-90F weather well, but they are a very nice product!!!!
Looks like you've done a very nice job!
