damn shove! very nice my friend. those are some bad bitches!
camo, what i did when i LST'd was used some landscaping wire, bent the plant over 90 degrees, and used the wire where it was bent to hold it that way. just make sure not to leave it on there as your ladies grow bigger! bad juju. also, i make U shapped pieces and and use them to hold the main stalk down and spread her open to get light penetration down deep.
sorry shov, didn't mean to step on any toes!
awesomely inspiring!

Dont you just love dirt grow's? Lookin good.

Lookin real good there.
Nice and bushy with lots of flowering nodes.
I'll be watch'n

Plants are all doing well, fine and good.
Here is a Blueberry. I took some lower branches off as they would not be able to produce anything useful. For shits I put them into a jug of water to see if they root and perhaps finish outdoors. Doesn't cost to try.

A shitty pic, Mazar. Smells nice and sweet, like my Bubblegum of afghani strains.

The SSH had well over a foot on the rest of the bunch. For today I just wrapped some branches together. Tomorrow I'll likely train these long branches into 'arches'.

the ladies are looking good man! won't be long now.
I think five weeks more for the BB and Mazar, seven or more for the SSH. They reall are just beginning!
Thanks for dropping in, fluid Bub! :hippy:
Looking good Shovel!
I'm going to start up some blackberry seeds I got from a very generous WH  in about a week.
Moving into a new house and am very excited for a big walk in closet haha. Going to ditch the aeroponics for a more evenly performing grow that gives the buffer that I need.
Keep them girls happy! :stoned:
Wouldn't that make an incredible wedding arch to get married under? I've seen a show "My Big Fat Redneck Wedding" where the bride and groom marry under an arch made from empty Budweiser cans. You may have found a new niche, Shov, by forming intricately woven arches from growing sativas! That would be sweet! Sorry for that strange thought - was looking at some wedding pictures earlier; and, I'm not even stoned to have come up with that off-center idea!Quote:

Those plants look so delicious
question.. how sticky is the Mazar to the touch? The BB is a beauty... but the SSH has me hypnotized :computerlove1:
Sticky? well they are only three weeks into bloom (when photo taken) but both the Mazar and the Blueberry are frosting up. If I wanted to 'feel their sticky" I'd have to rub the trichomes, which would break them. I don't do that. I hardly handle the pot until I break it up for a joint. Same for 'smell this!' and rubbing the pot leaves or bud.
I will try and get nice close ups of the trics this week. As far as smell, they are all pretty mild, at the moment. This is very good. ;)
Shov
I never thought about that breaking the trichs. Well it's always nice sewing a grow log with a strain I'm growing. Hope I hve as good as a out come as you. My last mazar got bud rot so the little bit I smoke was amazing this time I crossing for no bud rot!
hi shov just checking in
Best wishes for a good day.
Day 27
Pics under the HPS. Poor color rendition, but you'll get the idea...
These are from the Mazar and/or Blueberry. The SSH pic didn't come out too good. <G>

Outdoors there are two male and one female Blueberry. They are just starting to bloom. Males have pretty purple flowers.
Sho
those ladies are looking fantastic shov
BB have some beautiful color and those mazars look like nice producers.
i know it'll be a while for that ssh so no worries about the pic, it'll look better later on anyway
hope all is well my friend, and you (along with all viewers) have a wonderful holiday weekend. take care, bbs
mgm
Another 3-4 weeks for the Mazar, 4-5 for the Blueberry and 4-6 weeks for the Super Silver Haze.
Photo of the SSH. I had to train a few of the taller branches as they were 18" above the other strains. The buds are many but small in size yet. They have plenty of time though.

My oh my, one of the Blueberry plants is smelling like blueberry already. I don't have a very good sniffer, so that is pretty amazing. Also, as a mythbuster experiment I poured a two ounce bottle of blue food coloring (blueberry concentrate) into one of the plant pails to see if the plant picks up any of the color, odor. I have not 'sniffed' this plant yet, so I have to get to that sometime soon. The other two BB have no coloring. It's been a claim by some that you can effect the pot's color, odor and taste with fruit juices, coloring, etc. So, we will see...
Shov
It will be quite interesting to see if the food coloring actually has an influence on the bud color. I don't think I would have ever thought of that. Even if it has no effect on the potency, who doesn't like a bit of color in their garden?;)
I didn't think of this. lol But if this 'dye' doesn't show up in the flowers then I don't think Koolade or fruit juice is going to do it.
I'll have to look into that food coloring concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing your results/take on it. Aside from that, your plants are looking as good as always; even under the HPS, those buds are looking mighty sweet! I'd like to see how your outdoor beauties are looking too on your next photo op.
Hope all else is well in your world, Shov.
interesting experiment shove. i've heard of people sparying fruit puree onto their ladies. i would think that might clog the stomata. don't know.
the ladies are looking awesome!

actually, the whole idea of adulterating the weed is wrong, imo. So far it seems that the coloring has done nothing at all.
The outdoor plants look good, my photos sucked. :(
The female has her leaves pointing straight up (before the three days of rain we're seeing).

Hey man, nice looking buds! I always was under the impression that blueberry was a strain that didn't produce well. Those BB at day 34 though don't look tiny at all IMO. Nice work.
As far as the flavoring/coloring goes, I believe you are supposed to wait until the last watering to add. I think the way it was described was you are supposed to let the plant dry out a bit more than usual, then add a good deal of concentrate to the water, and then harvest within an hour or two. I think the reason behind the quick harvest was because the plants break down the flavoring quickly. I tried looking for a link, but couldn't find it. Hope this helps :)
I woke up to signs of the borg yesterday! Just a few leaves with the suck-spots. I treated the plants with Safer organic insecticidal soap. Only problem was slight leaf burn and pistil burns directly under the lamp, otherwise OK.
Blueberry (berry smell pheno)

Mazar bud, frosty but mild smell.

can you say trich city?! holy hell! that's definitely a place that i want to visit!
nice buds shove.

I would think the easiest way to get color into them would be as soon as you cut them, put the cut stems into vases full of colored water and it will go up the stems. I used to do that with carnations, and you could even split the stem into sections, put each section in a different color and get a flower with different sections of color in the petals. The coloring was never really noticeable on green parts of the plant though, only in the white petals.
Putting it in the soil I would suspect may not work if the roots don't absorb it through the cell walls. With cut stems it's just an actual series of tubes running up the stem, and they are open-ended instead of having to go through a membrane.
Is food coloring safe for inhalation/smoking though?
is food color safe? it it pure natural blueberry concentrate so I don't think that it can harm anything being put into the soil any more than oj or koolade (other things I've hear peple claim effect plant flavors). I doubt if it's flavor or color will effect the buds at all. Other than proving that, I dont' really want to try any other kinds of adulteration experiments. Thanks though, I had seen the flower in the food color thing before.
Plants look amazing Shov! Our blueberries look like sisters :)
Usually if I am just irking for a complimenting taste to a certain strain of herb I select a blunt of the flavor I'm looking for and get fucked up that way. But hey, you could just eat some blueberry pancakes beforehand  :stoned:
hi cmasfca some creative thinking there...
Blunt wraps? I've never tried one. Same for vaporizers. I haven't had a bong hit since I can't remember when either. Strickly zig-zags and small pipes. :stoned:
Same here Shov. Old School I guess. Or, in my case, just old. I don't text or twitter either.:DQuote:

Although once a day at least I'll have a joint
This is some very fine work. i would be happy if my blueberry was half as good as yours.
