a few more Q. so if I wanted to reuse this stuff over and over agen. how long should I flush this stuff befor planting a new seed or clone in it?
and how often do U give them nuts/ferts?
also this micro grow is very inspirational to me. because of how damm good they seem to be growing/flowering.:D
im not to sure about whats needed to reuse the coco. have read its easily possible just never remembered the details. when u pick the coco up ask the hydro man, he'll surely know
I am nuting the plants by feel and eye.. no set schedule but it has been about 2-3 pure waterings (flushes) to 1 nuting. just start out slow and work my way up. lots of people feel it is necessary to nute every day in coco.. that didn't work out for me last run too well. so i have been playing it easy, but will be upping the nutes soon to 1/4-1/2 strength
i upped the wattage as well. currently at 260 watts. :smokin:
glad you like the grow hydro, coco is an outstanding medium! a SOG like this in soil averages about (experienced grower) 7-10 g / plant. it will be really interesting to see the yield in coco from the ones growing a single cola... hoping for close to a qp or a little more from this :rasta:
:hippy:
Its is botanicare....it came in a big bag.....1.5 cu ft. loose particles...white bag.....i bought this one because it was the largest cu. ft they had in the store plus it was only $10.Quote:

so agen thanks for the info bout this stuff.
whoooo.:D
Greenatik,
Wow great pics. And did I read that right? only "day 17 of flowering" if so they look to have crowned out already, mine really didn't look like that till around day 25.
I am a soil grower and I am looking at some of these hydro & coco grows to get some comparisons and tips that may come in handy. So I was wondering if there is something your using or doing to get them to flower faster? or is that flower date wrong? or is this a hydo/ coco thing?
Also unbelievably nice looking plants for the conditions they are in, in fact for any conditions they would look great.
Thanks,
JG
HI Greenatik, my mate uses Cannazym, It's good for the roots during grow also beacause it keeps the root zone in good health by breaking down the dead root matter, eating so to speak.Quote:

Thanks Jerry, no typo here, those pics are indeed from day 17 of flower. Like you pointed out, most of them have crowned out, except ww and maybe the chronic. (these slowly coming to a halt)Quote:

i can't wait, they are already packing on weight and frosty dense nugs... day 20 till finish they will just be fattening :D
hey green, I have definitely heard of cannazym and its uses. just wish i had the extra money to add that to my wanted additive list.:rasta: i really want to run the whole canna line on my next run, but this flora nova is not dissapointing me so far :jointsmile:Quote:

JG
well, i think they will take about 60 days in flower for most of them to be harvested. white widow will take longer and the bagseed will as well, maybe. because they stopped stretching so soon, i think they will just use the extra time to fatten, but i really dont know. they could be done day 40 flower but I am thinking 60
but yeah, this setup is perfect for personal consumption. i can't wait to do this on a slightly larger scale, but perpetual. harvesting a plant a week,
Ok! but still 2 month turn around is still real good:thumbsup: makes sence now with no veg.
Another question. What do you use for a mom to get your cloans?
I took the clones off of my current outdoor girls right when they were starting to bud
the additive I used before flipping, The Stimul8r, had something to do with how short and compact they turned out
so how should I germinate me seeds in the coco. or should I use some jiffy pellets to germinate the seeds?Quote:

i would start them in a pellet or rooter first, keeping the moisture correct for the seedlings will be hard in coco
use CALMAG everytime you water, when your not nuting.
i would soak the coco with really light veg nutes and maybe something like liquid karma or B1 right before you transplant into it. let em be for a couple of days then start giving nutes at 1/8 strength or even less. slowly work your way up

it is 100% necessary, your plants will never grow
just like to mention that this is only my second indoor grow(3 1/2 grows total) so i'm no pro, everything i talk about or any advice is mostly from what i've read browsing around. so if something's incorrect let me know
I think that coco is really just plain easy? I've read (couple opinions) that coco somehow doesn't produce as much frost and flavor as soil... but for day 20 mine are ridiculous, almost caught up to my outdoors in frost and those are not far from finishing..
hopefully get some shots up tomorrow of my outdoor bitches and the indoors, so we can compare mums and their hydro girls
peace :rasta:
yea pix soon. cant wate.

and so U must have used the coco with out calmag once or whatever and ur plants didn't grow.
or I guess Im a just lil confused as to what the calmag does.
I guess I need to pick some up.if I really need some for the coco to work right.
would a garden center or a place like walmart have the calmag.
well I'll be watching.:D
anything considered hydro needs it because the medium, unlike soil, contains nothing. calmag is calcium and magnesium that you need to supplement because the coco doesn't have it. im guessing that in hydro (never have), nutes are always in the reservoir. so hydro nutes should have the proper cal/mag (i think).
but when you are just plain watering, not nuting, which I do quite a bit with mine, you have to add calmag to the water. its an essential food for the plant in all stages, unlike how nitrogen is for veg and phosphate is for bloom
i did find out the hard way, watching my new seedlings turn to mutated runts, start to turn purple, yellow, and almost die. then stinky screamed CALMAG and they came back to life. coco is useless without it. you need to run calmag if you use reverse osmosis as well.
go to the hydro shop and get it, and don't start without it ..
so I guess a garden store woildn't have it then. OK
I I hope don't cost too much money.
thanks for the info.:D
well the camera was being a little bitch today and i didn't get good pics of a lot of the plants that I wanted to get pics of  actually wasn't the camera's fault, the wind made all my shots blurry... except a few.
the wind also almost killed white widow, 3 branches had completely fallen over so she got tied to a tree with hemp and taped at the stem
they have been getting heavy harvest, kool bloom, sweet, and molasses. some (ak48/good god/ couple bagseeds) will be ready soon(1-2 weeks), some have another 3-4 weeks (gods gift)
Gods Gift x Blue Goo.. Can you see why I want to SOG this plant entirely next round :D

prolly about time for an update ? my internet has been down for the last few days, but I will do an update tomorrow. 4 outdoor plants got the chop today... unexpected rains. ak48, good god, one gods gift, and a bagseed. the yield seems fair, and the buds are dense
:hippy:
oooo wee cant wate to see them.
so how R the sog plants doing?
update - day 30 flower
A couple of plants (good god, ak48) will be ready in two weeks or less..
The tops are a little heat stressed but nothing too bad. The GG x BG's are doing quite well, really putting on the weight :)

Hi greenatik,
Things are looking great as always, they are that good I can taste and smell them.
Take a look at your rep.:)
2 wks....damn.....ive still got at least 5-7 on my clones.......great new pic green! Cant wait to see the finished product! 2 wks damn!
well, two weeks is only really for 2 of them. ak48 is usually done in 48 days, and good god was crowned out by day 8 flower. its covered in amber hairs and its starting to purple. The rest of them still have some time left - which is good, can't wait to watch them fatten even more
Oh, and I was able to get quite a few seeds of GG X BG from a outside hermie, so I won't be revegging any from the SOG garden
thanks for stopping by friends, and thanks for the rep! :)
