well actually i didn't have a camera at the time but i already pulled them it was sad though but i had one left cuz it looked way different and lots of hairs and stuff even though inside it was all seeds i was letting it grow more to mature the seeds but today someone came up in my back yard and robbed the bucket and all in the middle of the day XD lmao....pretty pathetic if u ask me when i walked out there and seen i just laughed cuz it's such a residential neighborhood but then i got pissed cuz they didn't even leave me my bucket so they probably got stopped down the road by a cop wondering why the fuck they're carrying a 5 gallon bucket with a plant out of it that is so obviously a pot plant it's not even funny....idk though i dont know enough about it i just had some help and someone diagnosed it as hermie and the problem probably being rootbound.....i do have a question....i had two plants in one small bucket...they were gauranteed rootbound could they have caused the other one to go hermie also?

Hey dude with the Hermi (Nick), There are lots of reasons that a plant will hermi. Most any kind of stress can do it. And the seeds just might have it in their genes.
You could at least have commented on my beautiful plants since you are comming to my thread to ask questions. You could actually ask these questions by making your own thread. Sorry to hear you were ripped off tho. And the seeds from a hermi should be thrown away, as they will tend to hermi too.
bc...dont know the brand name of the sissors but they are great for trimming bud. No cramps in the hands with those sweet sissors.
And
SG, The whole house smells kinda like Fruit flavored gum. I keep getting a whiff of it and wonder what the heck is that...then remember the buds are drying downstairs.
Today I am harvesting the Odd "Mango". Pics later. Taking a break now from trimming her. This plant has to be mango cause it looks just like the one i KNOW is Mango. There must have been more mix ups when taking them outside than I thot. Back later with some pics.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Because it looks like the other plant that i KNOW is mango. And i thot it was purps when it was transplanted into it's last container.
It took way to long trimming up this plant. The buds were so close together on the tall kola that the inside of the buds were just all deformed looking. I trimmed it up like i would like to smoke it. It is on the screen downstairs drying now, no hanging for this bud. It was a lot more sticky than the purps i took yesterday, or....It was more sticky cause i had to handle the actual bud more, is prolly the case. I have one more to go, a SugarGrandaddyPurple gets the ax on Friday. :hippy: Forgot to say the trichs were mostly cloudy, gonna smoke some finger hash in a bit.....
-

Damn dude that one bud looks mmm, mmm, good.

bc, looked at those nice sissors and you were right, under all that resin was the name Fisker. I am not sure if i spelled that right. Before full harvest i got to find me one more pair for who ever is gonna help me trim. It took so long yesterday to do that plant. Thank goodness i dont have a lot that revedged, but tomarrow I do the Grandaddy and it is also a revedge plant.

Hey Inbud nice ladies. Brilliant purple hues on those nugs, not the leaves.
I also have some GDP that revegged. And a bunch of others that did not. I wonder if it is something in their Genes that caused the reveg. What do you think?
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Is cool Nick, I do know they look good, was giving you ****. Now if you can help me out keeping those leaves from yellowing and falling off..... and remember, hermi seeds tend to hermi.
One SugarGrandaddyPurps got the ax today. Sorry to say no pics, those buds were hussled downstairs and are drying on a screen. On another sad note, she was not near as cloudy as i would have liked her. She took longer even than the mango to clip. I am really looking forward to harvest. The oldest plants we will let go to mostly amber. I am thinking the middle of next month to start taking them.
allrollsin, I do know why my plants went into flower as soon as I put them out. The change in the light schedual. I picked the flowers off them except the Amethyst x Northernlights that I let go and harvested earlier in this thread. I dont think the strain, granddaddypurps, had anything to do with mine revedging. I had three, two went into flower pretty far before they revedged, one, I picked as many of the flowers off of and it went back vedging real fast. I have very high hopes for her, even tho she is very small.

inbud nice results on the indoor to outdoor i will be trying out this style of growing, mainly cause i have no $$ too purchase a HPS,and the only grows I've been around are outdoors and when compared too the indoors I see here wow! the indoors suck nothing grows bud like sunshine! maybe when that luxim bulb finally hits market or when I can buy 8 hps 1000wtrs
did you say you need a manicure I'm in chico if your close enough I'll come help
ps:? did you transplant into ground or containers? when goin outside
-

Lol..needing help, by the time the plants are ready, my main helper will be off work for the season, but thanks all the same. Am REALY interested in the words LUXIM BULB, what is it? does it cost less to run than the standard expensive bulbs, will it go into a HPS socket? Guess i should google it. Thanks for looking in and commenting.
Oh...and we are growing in containers, 15 gallons (that trees come in) and a few very large hydro containers and a couple large pots from home depot. Next year tho...i just got a thousand dollars I am gonna put in a retainning wall and grow in the the GROUND!!! Hopefully. If no emergencies come up between now and then, i got that cash stashed for the reataining wall. :hippy:

This morning, out in the garden, looking at the color of the trichs on the three oldest plants. I am seeing some amber, and most all trichs are cloudy. These three plants went into flower on July 26, September 20 is eight weeks. On one of the plants he brought in a few samples for me to look at (earlier) and.......they were so filled with amber I started freaking. So we went outside to look some more. Taking a larger sample, we found that closer to the buds themselves the trichs to be all cloudy. This plant is a cross between Amethyst and NorthernLights (looking more northernlights like), if i remember correctly northernlights has a eight week flowering time. Then we checked the dark purple amethystnorthernlights (all cloudy). He was pulling down a bud for me to take a pic of and the branch snapped. So the pics below. Pulled out the dehydrator, to dry this bud. I want to try smoking some (like i could really tell as bombed on codine as i am right now). Gonna be watching these girls daily, and possibly be harvesting next weekend.
(side note, I am on some codine cause of a tooth ache, so the above may not make as much sense as i think)
dehydrating done, good high, kinda harsh.

Tell him to be more careful next time! :)
Good pic of the purple bud, would be nice to see the trichomes if possible.
Maybe I'll be able to out do y'all next year. :stoned:

08 indoor to outdoor grow
INbud how do you know those three plants went into flower on July 26th? Is it because thats the day you put them outside.
I am in the foothills and am not sure when the technical flower period started. I know indoors they are flowering for at least a week before any flowers are visible. So how would I know outdoors?
I am checking the Trichs daily and see cloudy mostly, with a small percentage amber at the most. I have some conflicting happenings in life and am trying to even have a 1-10 estimation of when i'll be chopping. Any ideas?
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
i know they went into bud on the 26th cause that is when i first spotted flowers on them. Depends on what variety your plants are allrolls. I am pretty sure northernlights are an early eight week in flower plant. But, keep watching those trichs, they will tell you when. I dont understand what you mean by 1-10 estimation on chopping. If you want a good mind high, more cloudy is best. If you want a more narcotic high then more amber than cloudy. Just dont let your girls get to far into amber, you start loosing THC in the trichs when they get old. Good luck to you, with your grow and conflicts.
And my emergency came up, just like clockwork, may not get my retaining wall and a root canal instead. Waiting on the dentist apointment now.:(
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
root canal...boo hoo! Thats a bummer. I bet some of the herb will help you mend from that.
By 1-10 i meant days, as in nailing down approximatelly when harvest i would be better timed with my flush. I am notsure its really an issue on some of my plants as all the leaves are turning purple as the plant is sucking all the nutrients from them. Cool looking, but a little too early IMO.
Thanks for your advice and well wishes. Post up some nugs when your done, PLEASE

08 indoor to outdoor grow
I think my oldest plants will go another week, maybe ten days (started flushing them when i water, every three days now that it has cooled off). The younger clones, (they got their final feeding on Sunday) i am gonna try to keep out there till mid October, frost permitting. The leaves are turning purple now too from the cold.
44f last night.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Here you go SG....
mine look awful...
the cold and losing leaves to yellow has made my garden look real lousy. The cold is making what was left of the green into purple.
I am gonna be taking one of the oldest plants this sunday. It is the big amethyst x northernlights, the one pictured above with the broken bud. It is showing about one third amber over most of the buds. Some more, and some less, but mostly one third amber.
the other AmNL is comming down i think on Tuesday and the largest Purps on Wed.
I got my root canal yesterday and in a day or so will be just a trimmin away. Is kinda funny, when i was on pain killers, the smell of the pot drying downstairs or i was burping my jars, it was turning my stomache. I hope that reaction is done with..or i am gonna be a alka seltzer drinking girl when i trim them.:D I just hate absessed teeth..but the pain killers are almost worse. Glad that is over.

The Amethyst x Northernlights plant "Tuffy" came down in two parts. Half of her came down in the evening on the 27th and the bottom the morning of the 28th. He wanted to help, so many of the buds (he trimmed 2-3 branches to my 1) have a little more green than I wanted, but heck, I was real happy for the help. She covered two screens 25 x 50 inches. He made a couple plates up of the popcorn buds he didnt want to mess with.
Trichs over all 25% amber.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Our Monster, met her end this morning, or is it the beginning?
She has possibly the hardest buds in the garden. She felt like she was three pounds as she went downstairs to be hung and laid on the screen.
The cold was beginning to purple the tips of her bud leaves.
As I trimmed her, I checked the trichs, and she is maybe ten percent amber. Thick with Very Cloudy Trichs, more under the leaves than on top. I didnt take pics of her in her final trim, by the time I got done with her...I had been handling her all day.
She was the seed sister to the purple plant above. Amethyst x NorthernLights

Thanks for looking in BC and commenting, if you want to drop by today, I would give you more than a plate to help me finish this plant I am working on now.
Got a question,
I got rain comming on Friday. This isnt gonna hurt my buds that are still out there is it? Spose to really come down. Am thinking of moving them inside with a hand truck....or put a tarp over the garden frame...What do you think? I sure dont want bud rot at this point. I want to leave the clones out for at least another two weeks. If I had a light, I would bring them in untill they were done, but I dont.
-

holy fucken moly. that is a very harvest so far. how many mo U got to go?
hella harvest man. woow.
-

I would tarp over. If the rain is coming and going I wouldnt worrie, but if its around for awhile you might wanna move them in "if you had a light". Just think about stress and climate change when you do move them indoors. But if you can. Do it. Its alot of work though im sure so if you can tarp that garden frame up and just watch for the mold. You should be fine
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Okay, clear tarp it is. I love my plants but.....I hate the thot of them inside. Bugs you know. If I could I would dry them outside.
And as for how many....
hum.
I am allowed 12 in flower...
so...
I took down three....
no...
three this week.
There were three I took early, cause I can only have 12 in flower.
There is at least aproximately...
2 Sugar Granddaddy Purple, clones
2 Mango, one from seed one clone from her.
5 Purps left, two are my LST attempt
and somewhere out there, is a clone from the Sugar Grandaddy purple who flowered in the cloner and I am trying to get some seeds from her, tho I dont think that is working out. She is cute tho, bout nine inches high and packed full of bud.
all total, 12.
Today You will find below
The Purps from BC Seed Company, I bought a year ago last spring. She is the sweet mama plant to my "new clone" purps. Her Trichs are mostly cloudy and maybe 10-15% amber. She looks alot like the Amethyst x NorthernLights but she is not as dark purple. She took me ten hours (with smoke breaks and a half hour for lunch) to clip up and I never did finish with the last clip. Gonna take a lesson and let her dry for a couple days then finish her. After yesterday and today, I am so HAPPY that I am not harvesting agian for at least a week. The "new clone" purps, I want to let go till they are heavy into the amber as I can stand to wait. Frost will be a problem very soon, along with the rain this weekend.
Thank Goodness for Fiskars Sissors......and Medical MJ.

08 indoor to outdoor grow
Inbud your plants look frosty delicious. Great job on those girls.
I too am watching the weather wondering what i am going to do. I dont have a structure up anymore to throw a tarp over. Where i am it is calling for HEAVY rain. A few ladies have huge colas and a the others are very dense plants that i am afraid of water getting stuck inside the bud. I think i will need to chop most of them because moving them would be a little dangerous due to prying eyes.
It is a real shame because they look like they have a week left, currently 5-10% amber. and next week is forecast nothing but blue skies.:(
I am going to tarp the ones that i can, with the tools i have, and chop the others. Its all gonna be all right:thumbsup:
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
I am gonna take down one more later today, mango. And pray for the rest. The other half doesnt want to tarp or bring them in, he says rain for one day. He is watching a different weather channel then me I guess. I hear storms are stacking up out in the Pacific and they are heading our way. All coudy this morning here. May have to light a fire in the next few days.
I wish my "new clones" were turning amber, I would take them. So far just cloudy trichs, cant find an amber one anywhere, but hey have one more week, I think, before they start to turn.
Hold the Rain, Hold the Frost, I WANT IT MY WAY!

Thanks guys on the nice comments on the plants.
Didn't take the Mango. Just want it to get more amber. I have to have some reefer that makes me stay on the couch. So far all i have taken is a nice mental high. And the Sugar Granddaddy Purple is my fave, smokes like the taste of hash. Gets you good and mental for about two hours and no hard crash. Good for house cleaning, or being in public (tho, public is not where i like to be when stoned).
He moved the plants yesterday in the midst of the down pour. They got wet, he got wet and they got undercover. They look to be drying up nicely this morning. Only lost one branch to breakage, tho one plant looks pretty sad cause of dead leaves that got wet, gonna have to get them off of her. We have 80 degree weather comming here by monday. Sooooooo......What does the Mold look like that i am sposed to be watching for? And where does it attack first????
Thanks for any info on that.
the pics below, are looking out my front door, he moved them up on the porch and the steps. So, Knock, Knock, who's there? Lots of pot in pot's....lol. Mango and Purps, comming for dinner!
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
can i come over for dinner also?:D
they look great! i really want to grow some colorful bud for my next grow, so im gunna pop some purple empress, and blueberry. im also gunna throw some pure gooey, and some big foot x goo thunder. if you have any seeds you would like to trade for some of mine, i have plenty, so let me know
i checked on my plants this morning after the rain, and it looks like they are trooping through it. im just hoping no water gets stuck inside the buds and promotes rot. if buds rot, you can still throw them into bubble bags, right?
here is a thread on mold i found, so hopefully it helps with your questions about it. http://boards.cannabis.com/outdoor-g...-climates.html
hope this helps,

Thanks for the link, gonna check it out now. I really dont know if you want to put your molded plant parts in with your bubble hash fixin's. I wouldn't, but then I have an aversion to stuff like that. Bugs, mold, ewwww, and fish slime. As for the seeds, I have only the Amethyst x Nothernlights I bred to the Purps this year. Prolly wont be real stable. I'm gonna grow some next year and call them Lavender Nights. I also have some Auto Flower (called blacks) that were bred to Bubblegum, a friend turned me on to them, and I am gonna start them next winter for a early spring crop. Have no idea what traits they will show.
Below find, the Amethyst NorthernLights called "Tuffy". She is going to be burped for ten minutes a day, three times a day, for the next week. She is a nice smooth smoking plant so far. Nothing like the stuff we dried in the dehydrator. She keeps you with an up high, and lets you down in about two hours, no hard crash, and the smoke itself is real smooth, not harsh at all. Should be even better by the end of the month.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
She came down today and it was 44 degrees when she did, at eight a.m. She is laying on a screen downstairs. I had to trim her too much, because of all the brown leaves, that she is just a few plates full of nugs. The leaves just wouldnt come off when you tugged on them. So...I took her apart. After last weekends rain, I was worried she would start to mold with all that brown in her.
Tomarrow and the next day, the rest of the plants come down. If you look center back of the garden pic, you can see the plant I took today. One that looks like a missel kinda.
Anyone have any thots on how cool the dry area can be on the low side? How cool is too cool? I dont want mold now. My downstairs is about 60 -65 where they are.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
Below find the pics I took the day the Purps "new clones" came down. And also some jared up AmethystNorhternLites and Big Purps Bud.
Between the two plants, I like the Big Purps Bud best. Because of the difference of the plants from the same seeds, I dont know if we will be using the seeds we pollenated this year. The darkest Purple AmNL smokes smooth but does not even favor the Amethyst I grew last year, smoke wise or looks wise. I was kinda disapointed when I smoked her. Maybe she will improve with more curing. The Sugar Granddaddy is prolly my fave so far. Tho it is a bit harsh, it packs a real good buzz. The Amethyst, I took early, is a very very nice head buzz, and going into public is not what I want to do when smoking that.
Want to say Thanks to everyone who followed this Grow 08 here at Cannibis.com. I enjoyed showing you my attempt at growing some Medical Marijauna.I may continue the journal with pics of the harvest. All but two plants are down now. One last Sugar Grandaddy Purple stands and will be comming down tomarrow or today, picture below. We also have a small Sugar Granddaddy clone that we thot we could get seeds from. But, I see no seeds breaking the bracs. We may revedge her. She is also pictured below.

I just love showing these Purps.....These are ready to go into a bag for a day then they hit jars. The Purps so far smokes smooth. It will not glue you to the couch, but it gives a nice body high and eases the arthritis for me. It is also a nice mental high. I love the way the trichs glitter, or sparkles. I am much happier with the Purps than with the AmethystNorthernLights cross we did.
Again, thanks for looking in at this this years grow. If there is more interest, or comments i guess....I could post more pics of the finished bud, I still have two purps plants to finish and one mango that will get worked on later today. There is also one more plant in a pot, my last Sugar Granddaddy Purple. Going for the "Couch Lock" with her. She will be taken late this week or on the weekend. Let me know if you want more pics. Thanks.
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
I've got a question? Kind of weird one. Did you leave those little leaves on cause they were covered in trichs? I noticed those were a little more leafy than the previous pics. Or am I just trippin?
-
08 indoor to outdoor grow
You are not trippin'. I did leave some of the nice purple leafs on. Because I just finished that batch up for the next stage a jar to be burbed for a few days. When I seal it up, it will be a finished trimmed bud. One more inspection before it hits storage. I kinda got jammed up with plants and had to modifiy how long I had to spend with each one. Like the Mango below, lots of light green leaves left. She is a rock hard bud. Nothing airy about her.
I also trimmed up the Mango today.....She turned out REAL stoney. I think She is my favorite so far. She smells spicy on your fingers. She makes the inside of your mouth a little numb when you first hit her. Four small hits last about an hour. I cant take those deep hits anymore. :hippy:
The Mango here is not as trimmed either yet. Im pretty stoned writing this.
