How about Daddys Pilot...lol hahahhaaha
after polling my friends that are growing her out, I pretty much have to stick with 'Daddy's Girl' name, after all ... my apologies if I took someone's name, but its kinda 'too late' to change it now ... I tried very hard to find someone else using the same name, and couldn't, until just a few days ago ... so, if I get 'called out' on her, I'll challenge him to a 'smoke-off', Winner keeps the name, and I'll even give him some Free seeds :D ...
So 'Lil' brat' is a no-go? :D
I like Daddy's Girl. If the other one is so obscure as to be un-findable for so long (and I remember you looking, and asking me several months ago if I'd ever heard of such a strain name), I think you're good to go!
Mmmmm grapefruit..
Very intersting grow reaper I wouldn't worry about the name if I was you obviously its been long forgotten about & probably wasn't that outstanding. Yours seems to be spreading & people like it so untill someone can prove diferent go with it.
to avoid further confusion, I'm going to backcross her again soon, and have already picked out a different name for her progeny ... we're currently doing searches to verify her uniqueness, before adapting a new name ... hate playing a 'name game', but in this day of 'cute marketing names', we have no choice, I want to stay ethical ... (I know, I worry about the little shit too much) ... my present strain is Daddy's girl, and will remain Daddys Girl ...
Can totaly understand your ethical attitude there Reaper as yet don't know even really what you mean by backcross but no doubt it will be interestng. I have recently read elsewhere that there is a seed growers forum highbred.net. I imagine if its any use you probably know about it but it was from TY that I saw it refered to as a source for seed research.
Maybe for now you could try what Ltd companies do when they want to use similar names Daddy's Girl (Your growing name). Good luck with the development I look forward to being able to get the seeds some time.
I will cross one my Daddy's Girl F1 females with her P1 'Daddy' ... that usually results in further stabilization, with less variance, although I have seen zero variance in them, so far, anyway  ... my lack of growing space makes a lot of growing steps difficult, if not impossible ... that's why I asked friends to try growing her, makes for a broader view of her likes, dislikes ... now, if I could just find a woman as steady and tolerant as my Daddys Girl (and can make me feel as good :D) ...
When you find that woman she if she has a younger sister... :pimp:Quote:

I just had communications with the owner of Kiwi Seeds, who released a Daddy's Girl strain before 'mine' was bred ... he is quite a gentleman, and responded to my inquiries almost immediately, a good sign for a breeder, these days ... ... my version of Daddys Girl is going to be back-crossed once again, and the name changed for her progeny (Kiwi was very gracious, could care less about my un-intentional 'copying' of the name) ... btw, Kiwi Seeds just won a HTCC for one of his other strains  ... I can stop haranguing this non-issue now, sorry if it got monotonous ... just plant pics and updates from now on :D ... film at eleven
The guys at Kiwi Seeds are pretty cool was meant to go in & have a chat with them about the Canna stuff I use as they have used & been an official agent for a while. The Alegria Haze was really nice very tasty in the vapourizer, but didn't get to try the Tasman Haze which got a second in the Sativa as that was part of the Why Times celeb a$$ kissing party only as a seed company entry.
Personally I thought too many were chasing after a version of a Haze cross.
I'll defnitely be going into to have a chat with the grow guy I was speaking to at the Kiwi Seeds booth when I am back in Amsterdam.
Daddys Girl's lowest branches haven't been any slouches either, starting to sugar up nicely :) ... day 34 of flowering, about 16 more days to go ... this is last week for Tiger Bloom nutes, will finish the last week with only pH'd water and a glob of molasses ... :weedpoke:
I was wondering if you just grew such a big plant in hydro that it's not ready yet.....being off on the days makes sense.
yeah, it was a huge relief when xcrispi questioned my day-count, and I found the 'culprit' when I went back thru my logs ... I made my mistake when I confused the dates of my soil DGs, with the hydro DGs, when copying to the December calendar page ... mixed grows are so confusing to my tired old brain :stupid:Quote:

NorCal DG is looking nice... what percentage amber trichomes are you gonna use as your trigger to harvest? Or are you going solely by date? The pics are great with the frosty crystals smiling back at the camera. :D
normally, DG will be showing 5%-10% amber trichomes at 50 days ... that's usually when I harvest
That is awesome. I usually start flushing my hydro when I see 10% amber to end up with a nice balanced high without the total couchlock. I haven't been able to get it down to less than 60 days but I'm happy to see that others can....
this short 50-day finishing isn't my doing, can't take credit for that :D ... that is a dominant trait found in the Cinderella 99 genes ... and, NorCal Daddy's Girl is about 50% C99, nice to have that trait still present
Oh those look tasty.....can't wait to try them myself....
looks like DWC and you are getting along alright....Great pics, love the frost...

I picked these up when I was in the bay area in the early '80's. They were what I used to learn how to grow my first sensimilla outdoors and the first place that I ever heard about hydroponics for weed. Straight old school before the days of cannabis.com!!
wow ... you guys must be really OLD :S2:

doco,
Guess as Reaper says, 'we are old'..but I dont care...enjoyed it this far...
I dont think CC would mind as its a part of our past in the growing of plants..I think it would be an excellent idea..I could then see what I've been missing all these years LOL ...maybe I could scan my copy of #5 as well, for you...send it to your site?
Hope this works out so everyone can see them..
Thanks,
Treetops

Thanks doco..it will be well worth it I'm sure...
Peace,
Treetops:D:thumbsup:
you guys didn't 'hijack' the thread, you ADDED to the thread  , besides, at his age, Treetops has to have something to do ... I hear it gets real boring at those nursing homes (he made the mistake of being one year older than me) :S2:
Getting old sure beats the alternative.
doco,
Wow, and I thought my wife's cookbooks were old. Thank you very much. Rep for you. I got my copy now.
People if you don't like reading directions, the "next" and "previous" doesn't work (yet?). You have to click the picture. Don't give up and leave like I almost did.
started flushing today, Day 46, should be final week ... NorCal Daddy's Girl is a 50-day finisher in soil, I hope for similarity here ...
Looking real nice PC. Can't wait to taste em.
talk about 'lucking out', just as I placed her on a planned 'last 3 days of darkness', our electricity was taken out by a rain/windstorm :wtf: ... for exactly 74 hours, in my case :wtf: ... I knew 'Somebody' up there loves me, just more proof :D
A little divine intervention for NorCal Daddy's Girl? Can't wait to hear the smoke report...
