SRT-4, I'd imagine that'd have a nice and smooth ride, better parts = better performance, ala NSX.Quote:

Well Dean, this bike goes 0-60 in .97 seconds.

But the fastest I have ever gone was 120 in a mustang on a back road. I was sitting shotgun.
160 in a Formula Ford doing hot laps at Sears Point(now Infinion Raceway).
0-60 in 4.8 seconds in a Cortina Lotus with the Formula B twin cam. I drove this same Cortina from Eureka, CA to San Francisco in 4 hours flat in 1976.
when i was 8 my aunt took me in her lotus and we went like 155 or so ish, i was scared shitless
about 80mph off road and probally about 115 or so( my speedometer only went up 85 so i had to guess the rest)
Fastest without any vehicle would be around 75 MPH on my arse with a few rolls thrown in when me and my bike parted company when my engine blew up on a Dutch motorway.
Any accident you can walk away from wasn't a bad one LOL
I've done over 160 maybe more that is all the car marked, it was in my twin turbo 03 cobra I will never do it again tho it was pretty stupid I wouldnt recomend trying it, at these speeds your screwed if something goes wrong.

0630hrs - 100mph in a Lotus around the city center when I should have been parking it. Instead I asked the health spa manageress at the place I worked at if she wanted to come for a quick spin. I floored it around the block a couple times but didn't have enough road to go faster than that, even though all my braking was at the last second. Almost lost control (I remember the sudden urge to crap my pants once or twice). I do recall her saying all day that she couldn't stop her legs from trembling. Good ole days :)
130mph with zero visibility on the motorway on the tail of the car in front. Dangerous. For 100 miles I thought I didn't have passengers because they were so quite. they were fkn scared wimps lol.
lol, race ya?Quote:

130 was fast enough for me!

in my 2000 civic si was about 150. been in a 01 chevy 4 door pickup doing 110 down gravel. 100 in a 98 civic on gravel... but the fastest was in my 85 monte carlo. i swapped out the rearend after i tore the first one out, and i got the speedo checked, with the speedo at 55 i got clocked doing 80. and i had the speedo pegged out shortly after that. i figured i was doing around 180 tops with it, tire size is n50-14 (27 inch di.) with 3.08 in the rear end, and .67 final drive off the tranny. at a little over 4500 on the tach. do the math yourself... i just ran out of power to push it any faster. it blew up the next day. i gave proof on my record, and have people toback me up on that.
165 mph pontiac gto 2005
frickr, your tires were 27 in di. on an 85 monte carlo?
the rolling diamiter, on 14 inch rims.Mickey Thompson Indy Profile Tires: MTT-1044 - summitracing.com these are the exact tires i got.
oh that just threw me for a sec I was thinking 27 inch rims on a monte carlo I want to see that that's got to look hilarious lol I wasn't trying to call you out or anything if anything I thought it was a typo
haha i know what you were thinkin. big rims dont look good on muscle cars. atleast in my opinion, ill save my 18's for my civic
A friend and I got his transplanted B18c5 99 hatch to 150mph.
It was on I-15 outside of Vegas. It was pretty damn cool, funny thing is getting to 130 was easy, the last 20mph was the hard part
fighting that much wind resistant is a big deal..
I also got a ticket in Mustang ranch NV clocked at 138mph going to hot import nights in cali.. the cop was FUCKING pissed and was up in my shit on how he could drag my ass to jail.. after about 30 minutes of telling him how much it would ruin our trip..
cool thing was my friend and I were in the TURBO magazine pictured on the fence watching Jojo Callus Run his first 9 sec run in the civic...:admin1:
thats how my civic is, takes forever from 120+ thats when a prelude started passin me beofre that i was out front a ways
Goin about 110 on the freeway coming into houston the day after Rita was supposed to hit. we were going down the wrong side of the freeway at like 6am, sun is just comin up.. not another car in sight music blasting.. smokin a blunt... yeah that was a good morning..
Drunk in the back seat of my friends dodge srt 4 doin 155. ran outta room to go any further. I love that car so much I'll be buying one soon.
I wouldn't know. I'm sorry, I only travel in spaceship.Quote:

Dont recommend either though, as I recently lost a buddy who was going 120 on a R1 and died, with full gear on.
be safe take it to a track.
wow that is a wake up call considering I cruise at 120 and I just survived a wreck at almost 100 early this year
yeah he was in a coma for a year, and an infection finally got him. i cruise on the bike around 85-90 but occasionally throttle it to play.
yeah when I say cruise I mean cruising during that break away 10-15 min not always cruise at that speed, I read that and it just sounded wrong, when I go into "sprint mode" 120 throttle it to like 150ish to play
120 durin a long stretch of the highway. could have done more but the wind took ripped off my sunroof and i got scared.
112 on the freeway from Visalia, CA to Fresno, and people were passing us left and right
187mph in my brothers roomate's 96' Camaro SS. Twin t70 garret turbos, strapped on to fully built ls1. 986hp The mother fucker spun at 85mph on 315 slicks. This was on the way nopi last year.
186 on a gsxr 750 and 202 on tha brand fukn new busa kings! those some fast mother fukers by tha way i dont really like vehicles with more than 2 wheels cause u aint getn away from tha cops in those slow pos`s
gsxr's are great if you're shorter then 5'9" otherwise they're just way to small of a bike IMO I bought one last year and sold it very shortly after Im 6' and not a small guy so I'm a ninja guy gsxr's are just to small and snotty for me I love my zx-7r but am buy the new zx-14 I was riding one the other day and the amount of power match with kawasaki's smoothness is unbeatable for riding around and amazing on the track. I've ridden several busas and they are quick as hell but I don't like the snotyness of them
Oh yeah I just increased my fastest to 192 today out at the track after tweaking a few things and getting comfortable on the bike still frustrated because there was more in it and I didn't push it out.
