Yes, there is drainage in both, the concrete one with the spider has three holes, and the larger plastic only has one... I have large rocks on the bottom of the concrete one, and have smaller gravel on the bottom or the larger one with the female in it.... you think I need to add a few more to the larger plastic one?
As for over feeding... I added about half the amount recommended on the directions, and watered about as much as I normally do... when it isnt raining I water once every other day or do... depending on how hot it is and how humid it is... The top of the soil is always dry... I havent dug up any soil to see if it is dry... think I should do that?
First pour 10x as much water as the containers are big, letting it drain out the bottom. It was feed too much, the doses on the bottle are general guide lines, could be for a 3m high plant. When it is dry I would feed the spider plant about 1/8th the strength what ever you gave it, and the other you should be about 1/4 as strong. What kind of food did you get
wow that sucks. yeah flush them out as best you can, it will help. takes a little bit for them to rebound though. as far as the spider plant we dont feed ours anything, just a fert on the whole garden in the spring. try foliar feeding to get the others back in shape after flushing. i waited a bit before feeding again and they took about a week to start looking better again.
Will update pix tomorrow.... dont look much different than last set of pix....
ok, no pix today.... been storming like crazy.... supposed to clear up a bit tomorrow....
ok i know it has been a while since I updated with pix.... I was kind of waiting and expecting her to die on me.... but she hasnt.....
Have you ever seen one look like this? is this because of something lacking in her diet? or is this representative of its strain? if so.... what is she lacking or what strain is she?
and two more pix...
I think your plants was crossed with some alien DNA. Are all the fan leaves continuing to fall off or have they stopped.
pretty much grow out, turn yellow and fall off..... it went bald on me....
went away for two days, got home today and went out to check on her, the top of one side was turning brown like it was dying and I got to moving the leaves around and pulling the dead leaves out and I found a 1/4 inch green worm that looks about the same color as the plant itself... then I started finding small round bugs at all the nodes... What the hell... is this normal or am i just screwed? This was all being done as a learning experance so when I grow more next year, I will know what I am doing.... well... more than this year atleast... LOL
no ideas?
I think I've had those worms in some of my plants before...I just call them bud worms. Do they make little webs? I think once they are in their you just have to get some tweezers and pull them out. There may be a preventative action to take, but Im not sire what it is.
Post some pics if you can.
it looks like these guys are experiencing a pH problem. they seem alittle pale green which could either be pH or nitrogen defiencency. What kind of nutrients are you using?Quote:

I would bet its bad pH. The soil quality isn't that good either... You best bet would be to flush it out real well. If you can maybe find it some better soil and possibly a bigger pot. The better the soil the better the final product... remember that.
ew, bugs
I have already changed the soil and pot once.... the pot it is in is now an 8 gallon..... and the soil is Scotts organic....
cut out the infected part of the bud is what others were saying. there seems to be alot of these things. i havnt really heard of a cure except for sevins dust, which you might want to watch for as far as poisoning this far into the budding, the other are beneificial wasps. sorry i cant help more.
Hey hey hey. No pix, but I have crystals growing on my buds... on every node... too cool... Ok, how do I know when it is ready to be cut and hung? Thanks
