I can't believe they allow a place like that to exist. If a place opened like that here in the U.S., the DEA would roll in, kill a few people, arrest the rest, and go on the news talking about how the shop was destroying society... and people wonder why I generally dislike our country.
Quoted for truth. Wish our people were chill about it, here in the south people think it's the devil incarnate. lmaoQuote:

My mom lives downtown toronto and my friends and i are regulars at the hotbox cafe, I think its such a chillin place, always meet very interesting people there. The reason it stays open is because there is no dealing going on inside, whenever newbies come in and try to buy pot people will tell them to shut up or leave. Plus ive heard rumors from people there telling me undercover cops come in once in a while just to check it out and make sure no one is selling or buying. I would suggest this place to anyone here if you can follow the easy rules.
Ps. they make amazing garlic bread
I will have to stop by there. It is only a 40 hour drive from my house or so. I just looked it up on google. I have to take 1-17 to I40 to I44 then to I55 then to I94 then I69, cross the border, then 402 to 401 to 401 to Gardinier Express Way then do a couple turns and I'm there! I am doing a road trip this summer and we are definitely stopping in Toronto (I need some seeds and to stop at this cafe lol)
ps. Is there any place around Toronto that I could definitely score some pot? Any places where stoners gather to sell good pot?
I can tell you ive bought pot before from some punks just around the corner of the hotbox cafe, in the park, it was decent bud and was actually a not bad count either. so im guessing there, i forget the name of the exact park, but it was prolly a while ago when we were not 18 and they wouldnt let us into the hotbox, so we just bought that dope from those punks and smoked the bong in the park
So people didn't care that you smoked a bong in the park? Does anyone know how lenient Canada is towards reefer? What are some things that would get you in trouble?
To be honest here it mostly depends on the cop who busts you, ive heard stories of people having up to 14 grams on them and the cops just taking it and letting them go, than stories about people having half a joint and being arrested, its very unpredictable here sometimes.
ps. but where we were in downtown TO we were not harming anyone , we werent making noise really either just sitting there relaxing, a cop did drive by but didnt stop or anything, so im guessing since we were really causing any trouble there wasnt much of a problem
I went to the Hotbox cafe with my bro last summer. They I.D. you, you have to be 18+. We bought some food and smoked a fat blunt, it was great!
Getting caught buying and selling is the worst. As for simple possesion, they usually let you go. Any larger, they might confiscate your pot and that's pretty much it. On Canada day, I was taking the bus downtown (Ottawa) that was packed with people getting ready to party. Every year a lot of the people smoke pot on the bus, it's like so comon to see it's almost tradition. Last year the bus driver called the cops, who were waiting at the next stop. Cops got on the bus and said, "Listen guys, if you're going to smoke a joint, please wait till you get downtown, don't smoke it on the bus. You don't want the bus driver getting high do you?"Quote:

I've also smoked my bong in the park downtown across the streen from the U.S. embassy. I got a few looks from people, but in this area of the park, everyone smokes weed, just usually in joints, not bongs.
