Heya Demeter!
Damn... baby buds... I used to keep from picking them by having a perpetual crop going... and anyway I'm not a cashcropper, so whatever I grow pertty much goes to head stash, lol... always a bit of smoke about the house!
And anyway I know that I don't like the high too much... I'd rather wait for the buds to mature to that mellowing couchlock stage.
Update on the clones-
They were taken Monday night so this is day 3.5 in their little lives.
The ones that had flopped over are now upright and I predict 100% survival!
Temperature in my kitchen has been in the low 60s all week- this is why the heat mat is a NECESSITY.
It is helpful even when you have better climate control, but I was not seeing 100% survival until I bought one of those little $25 US gadgets, IMO one of the best inventions ever for propagation! (the other 2 being IBA or IAA, and rapid rooters, lol)
wOOt

yeah, i need heating pads, mine take so long to root. It's too cold. The only reason I lose some is if I forget to water...poor little things (-1)
whats this..

I have one of those little "pot roaster" things but the light is a long flouro that slides through the top of it onto the seedlings. Good for keeping the humidity up etc... :)

Oh those are indole-3-butyric acid and I think indole-acetic??-acid..
Common rooting hormones... IBA is the one in Clonex... that shit is hella tight.
Foxy's setup for rooting clones is pretty standard.
If you are forgetful, what you can do is pour a bunch of water into the main tray that holds the plug insert... not deep enough to TOUCH the plugs, but deep enough to keep a nice level of humidity since the heat from beneath is increasing the ambient humidity via increased evaporation rates.

i use clonex. I have the same domes you have, 2 actuall in action now. I just missed one plug last water. Oh well. Thing is i never let the clipping soak for any amout of time...i just dip and go. Maybe i'll give it a chance to permeate next time. I'ma bum now, i lost my job due to school sched., so my funds to get them dam mats isn't available at the moment.

lol you need to stop buying that expensive arrogant bastard!
Put yourself on a diet of Top Ramen and Black Label for 1 week.
You may die of dehydration, but at least you will be able to afford a heat mat.
You can also be way ghetto about it...get a plastic milk crate. Get a work light. Put a 75w INCANDESCENT bulb in it. (this is the only time you should ever let one NEAR your plants, lol!) Fix it so the bulb is up against inside the milk crate... can you invision this?.. put your prop tray over the lamp. Voila, instant heat. Not the best, but it will do in a pinch.

Hey...how bout this... Throw my ballast under the little table they are on. I'ts make of 1/2" ply, so I dont think it'd get too hot. my "Day" is at night, so it might help with the lower end temp flux.

I like that idea.
I am currently using my ballast to heat my 250w mother closet.
Unfortunately the little thing throws very little heat... but... word.
I've also in the past balanced my prop setup on top of a pair of shop flouros that were lighting the seedling trays beneath. That was okay... not great... just okay.

I tried an awesome new local brew.. BBC raspberry strong ale.. not bitter enough for me (I'm a bitter girl, lol) but good. And my head hurts this morning something fierce.
