If I was in your situation boarding school is exactly where I'd want to be. My parents know so it's not much of an issue, but if my mother was like that I wouldn't want to be anywhere near her for a while. Plus, everyone I've ever known who went to boarding school had the time of their lives. Smoking and drinking and whatnot. Have fun and do what you want knowing that your mom can't bust you.

"Hardass" for trying to protect her offspring from problems like this? You're just lucky it wasn't a real bust and that you were only caught by mom! She is being responsible and doing only what most of the rest of the parents would do if they found contraband in their kids' room.
You're doing all you can do right now...that is giving up toking and concentrating on your classes. You won't be able to change her mind in the short months you have left so just kick back and give in to the house rules for a little while longer. It will be far easier than living under an umbrella of distrust and lies and be all that much more enjoyable when you can toke up without the paranoia.

Discipline is a character builder,,,so when people say don't listen to your Mum they are not realizing we all need disipline... Going through life with out having a boss at one point or another makes you fell like you can do anything you want,,,you really can't though and you will find yourself on the wrong side with much harsher disiplines...

Whats stopping you from going to parties and friends houses? Use public transport etc...Dude my parents found out I smoked ganja and I'm still doing it now..Just don't tell her your going to parties or friends. Go straight from school...She can't stop you.
My belief is that a boarding school is a cross between private school and Juvie... I think maybe Mom chose it as opposed to lockup,,,which if so tells me she is somewhat rational... correct me if i'm wrong...
from what i hear boarding schools are kind of like...work hard party hard
they are really hard academically but also the kids have CRAZY parties and drug and alcohol use is rampant
of course that i heard that 3rd person, i don't know that to be a fact.
I would just be very discreet about it
can they search where you stay @ the boarding houes?
look over the rules, and if not then just go ahead and toke toke toke!:jointsmile:
if they can, then just don't have anything there and maybe pay friends to smoke you out
or go cold turkey

and in the end its better that your parents DO know, especially because you are going to be 18 soon
