Maybe it's just because I moved away from home, but christmas still excites me. I don't look forward to getting anything anymore, but I look forward to eating dinner with my mom, dad and sisters as well as seeing everyone else (hopefully) enjoy the gifts they got. Just makes me feel relaxed and good. Even better than weed. Thats right, I'd give up my oz anyday to get to have a christmas with everyone.
Christmas is retarted
It comes every year whether you like it or not. It is full of obligation, lies and lame traditions. I told both of my daughters as soon as they could understand that there is NO Santa Claus and that parents all over the world lie to their kids and tell them that Santa is real.
Storm Crow is absolutely right. The real magic happens when you do something for someone else- of course it sounds corny and all, but once you do it, you will realize the awesome power it has over the human spirit- theirs and yours -the crap you buy will never do that! I challenge anyone to go help someone else for a few hours or a few days and not feel great :) Give that present to yourself:noel:Quote:

Christmas is strictly for the kids in my family.
However, I do enjoy sitting around with my siblings, cousins,...etc and kicking back, talking smack, maybe play some cards. Spark a little something after the young ones have left or are sleeping.
We're able to find enjoyment in each other's company. For me thats what Christmas is about now.
Yes it's ususally full of obligation. The only problem is that nowadays, there isn't enough obligation out there. Everyone is allways ditching responsibilities and saying one thing and doing another. There was a time that someones word meant something to them, but not anymore. Everyone is allways out for ol' number one, fuck everyone else. I've allways liked christmas because it's ususally the only time of the year that greedy lazy bastards stop for two minutes to take care of someone else. I say if someone doesn't want to celebrate the holidays, then go serve in a soup kitchen, or a hospital or something. That way you can at least make someones day a little better and spread the cheer :madnoel:
only thing i look forward to is football, basketball, and gettin drunk as fuck, and gettin high as a kite, than eatin turkey..........and then opening a gift or 2.. I didn't even notice till like a week ago how close it was, usually i know, but this year feels kinda different...weird, and there's no fuckin snow yet in toronto......
Christmas puts something special in my heart that is not explainable... once I got past my youth it was time to feel joy in giving...
Merry Chrstmas all... now go hug someone that made your childhood special this time of year :areindeer: :areindeer: :areindeer:
i used to like x-mas as a kid cuz i loved to get gifts
as a teen and young adult i hated fuckin mas everyone was stupid and shit
as a man i love to see people smile when i buy em some dope ass gifts
I'm 24 and I still love xmas. When I was a kid, I used to get so excited I couldn't sleep. I get excited, but I sleep just fine now. I get more excited seeing my family than presents. I see them only once or twice a year, so when we get together, we have a good time.
We've never been about big, expensive gifts either. I wasn't raised to love someone who gives me expensive gifts.
