Wow, sounds like everyone is in love with your set up. Good job. Well I have found my way back into this part of the forest. I may get a thread going with some picks, but with a thread like this growing I don't think I would get any views. LOL
Well, I am going to post about an experience I had yesterday, I think I will put it in the grow lounge. It is about the craziest grow I have ever been to IMO, and shows how forgiving these plants can be under the most brutal circumstances.
Well keep it going. I am glad that the crew is showing you so much love, GK and CJ with the Christmas gifts. Well I will check back in later.
Adieu
i envy your seed room. is it 100% sealed off? i cant wait till i can start breading my favorite strains. Lookin good Kp. hopefully i will pull as much weight off one plant as you intend to. nice setup:jointsmile:
hi guys. santa, it's not 100%, but it's close, and it's in the basement, a floor away from the others.
well, i gess i have a sad update...........
when i got home today, i found my oldest yard dog dead. he's 13, it was his time, but, i cried hard and sat there for over an hour.
then my brother runs out of the house and yells, "something in your room is on fire!!" i ran into the house, and into my room, and find it so filled with smoke that you cant see a foot in front of your face. fortunately, it was just my 400w hps ballast shorting out. no fire hazzard, but the plants have suffered... there is now no light in the flower box, lights have been off for 20 hours. i broke most of the cfl's jerking the timer out of the wall. the clone closet looks bad, all clones look sick, though the moms seem to be coming back... i took them outside for fresh air.
so, i'm having a huge early harvest, some as early as 3-4 weeks. so my grow is pretty much stalled, like starting over again...
so, bear i'll be looking for your thread, and your christmas present will be leaving as soon as i get the beans out of the buds, which i'm going to cut tomorrow.
well, it's not always good i gess,
love, kp:p
clones are looking ok, we'll see...
Nice setup KP! Sorry to hear about your latest run of luck/life, though it does sound as if you are able to handle it maturely and realize it is what it is.... Sometimes timing can be so shitty though:(
If you are in a ? answering mood, what are the dimensions on the bloomroom? I imagine you run a perpetual type harvest, ie not really set "crops", just rotate plants in when you have space/new candidates?
P.S. if you just get some igniters you can run HPS bulbs with the MH ballasts - the ballasts are identical - HPS simply needs an igniter in the system to step up the arc since the bulb is, well, under High Pressure ;)
tokudai, the dimensions are 4x8x4... i'm semi perpetual, now the bloomroom is shut down for a while... til i can figure out what to do about lighting...
as for the mh ballasts....... i thought they were identicle too, but alas, these mh ballasts have no x3 line to connect an ignitor... i did get the ignitors, but, they don't work.
looking to trade...... two 400w mh ballasts for:
400w hps
600w hps
1000w hps.....
or maybe you know how to add an x3? the prob is you need to add a feed to both sides of the long side of the transformer.
i'm out until i can get another setup....
Holy Shit KP that was a close one! Sooo glad to hear you and your bro are ok!
Did you trace what happened on the ballast? I say keep growing and save up for a digi ballast. My next room is going to be all digi ballasts and bell lighting hoods. Then I won't have to play my x-mas music so loud for the girls:0)
BTW I cut some pollen with some baking soda and went for round 2. Looks like it took this time. I will update when I am for sure. Don't think it will be a pre x-mas birth though but 07 will be a good year!
Glad you're OK Love..

Kp, I am so sorry to hear about both you dog and your plants. Wish there was something I could say....will keep you in my prayers.
take care....
My condolences on the loss of your pet. I know some of the old-guard growers veg and flower with MH bulbs. Perhaps using yours for the last 3-4 weeks of your unfinished plants' lifetimes would let you rescue your yield.
