Its highly unlikely that prolonged darkness causes dramatic increase of THC to that extent, otherwise you would be hearing about it and everybody would be doing it, and unless the chunk or the most experienced pot growing professionals put it in their routine as well, it will come under the 'speculation' catagory. Having said that, growing pot is a hobby, and experimentation and variation is what this hobby is about.

Cmon' folks. This debate has been around for many yrs now, and all we have is THEORY and REPORTS.
I have actually done this experiment and find zero difference in the effect. Like someone ^^^^mentioned....lets hear your own results. Peace

Yeah fair enough, but i have looked into it for a while now and ive found no bad reports on it. And most reports talk about an increase from 5% to 30%. I personally will be trying this techneque :)

This is from Gypsy Nirvana's description of their White Widow:
We suggest the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle to turn the lights off altogether - or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from regrowth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower...try it!
Two weeks sounds extreme to me but I'm open minded.

Yea, that sounds a bit much. no light for 2 weeks. I sure wouldn't do that. I like how they added in there ...'or at least to 8 hours of light.' That makes a big difference. No light is not = 8 hours of light. lol
But like you said, take your info with large grains of salt (epsom, perhaps?)...and you will be fine.

30% of 10% is like 3.3333% this would take the overal THC percent of the plant to 13.3333%, not 30% in general. definately do some mythbusting and post the results. personally, i think it's plausible.
