That's actually not the tip I prefer, but if you leave the tip like that you can fit a little more weed in because you don't cut off any length. Only problem is the mouthpiece tends to resinate when you roll it cigar style. Check out the mouthpiece on the one in the first tutorial in my sig, that one rocks. It's not as pretty, but it works way better.
