Birdgirl has hit the nail on the head. The dems are eating this up and can we really blame them for gloating? Clinton gets blown by an intern..well..he's one of those liberal Democrats so it should be expected. The Repubicans, however, have set themsleves up high on the pedestal of morality and good family values. Bottom line is that the higher up you are(in this case on the decency scale) the louder the noise when you fall. Not that I'm defending Clinton's, or anyone's, innapropriate and/or criminal behavior.

To point fingers at the Dems in this case, calling it a "witch hunt" is ridiculous. That's just the Rep's trying to take the spotlight off of themselves. Whether or not it was a witch hunt isn't relevant. What Foley did was wrong, it was criminal, and he should be punished. If some weird old man in your neighborhood was trying to lure teenage boys to his house over the internet you would demend he be caught and sent to jail. Just because someone is a congressman it doesn't give them the right to act that way and it doesn't matter if they are a Republican or a Democrat. If Hastert had knowledge of Foley's behavior he should also be held accountable as should anyone else who tried to cover up the situation. If he didn't have knowledge of the situation than let him be. Simple.
