Yes, for sure everyone should live in the country.
I grew up and was raised living in the country, but as of now I need to live in the city to get to work...or buy some sort of flying bubble to get to work without burning all the gas.
But as soon as I am financially able, i'll be building myself a big ol' backwoods retreat. Seclusion is great.
Neighbours SUCK!!! Nosey bastards.
By the way, I'll bring the whiskey
Just wanked it.... so far pretty meh...
THE SAULTE???? WTF did you do in the saulte??Quote:

Had lunch and watched tourists mill around and then went over to the locks and watched cargo move. Not a bad time! US side is a tourist trap and Canada side was a traffic jam, and it was really hot that day, so I just got back on the highway and headed east on 17. What a nice ride!Quote:

I used to live in North Mississippi, out in the country a bit, and it was pretty darn nice. I hope to one day have a nice piece of land, so I can retreat to the peace and quiet (cicadas, crickets, and tree frogs aside). I've traveled through the mountains of Tennesee over to North Carolina a few times, and there is some really nice country up in those mountains.
I've attached a photo taken from not far from home, back around the start of the New Year. I've made it my background for now - it's pretty relaxing to me. I've also taken a picture of 1 of my dogs, rolling around on her back by the pool - pretty much sums up my Summer - hanging by the pool and basking in the sun as much as possible (of course, having plenty of spf 50 on).
I hope the rest of your Summer is good, and that you have some cool breezes come your way, my friend!
We use to have a porch here......it was called the Growers Lounge. That's where this thread started.Quote:

Connecticut shore. Nothing biting. Even according to the oldsters.
One thing that's been mentioned in this thread, and I think everyone should be able to appreciate is the sublime nature of a good porch. There's something about it that makes it my favorite place to hang out...
