I have good ventilation. I have a 4" vortex at the top pulling air out and have ducxting pulling in fresh air commin from outside now. The vortex is 172 cfm and the growroom is 145 cfm. There are fans moving air clipped to the poles.

They have good amount or roots and are still in the small rw cubes. Say the roots are sprouting out and dangling on some. When should I take the humidity dome off of them?
Right now my ak-47 clones are lookin yellowish. While, in the same conditions, the purple urkle clones are dark green. Different needs for diff. plants?
you can take the dome off when theres a nice root bound.
I never did this before (cause i only cloned from 1 mother) but try adding a drop or less then a drop to one of those RW with rootbound to see if it will green up later (just an experiment i just thought of).
brilliant !!!!! shame about the bugs.. we got the same at the moment.. I think it's particularly the time of year
Hey Dusto2k3, I'm in your neck of the woods too, down here in PB. I'm thinking about one of those Hydro Huts and wanted to ask a couple of questions: what are you using for intake and exhaust fans? Did you get the dual flange kit for the intake fan or how do you have that set up? I'll be using a 400w HPS (with some supplemental CFL for blue light during veg) and I don't wanna bake the girls quite yet! I'm starting it off with four 12" pots. This will be my first indoor grow with real lights and I wanna do it up right but damn, this is getting expensive - I coulda bought a z or two by now! Anybody else wants to answer too, thats fine...more the merrier.
if your clones got roots 1 inch or more then plant em and take the dome off of em
DOCO, GOOD QUESTIONS. i WISH I HAD THOSE WHEN I WAS BUYING MINE. Sorry, bout caps. But yeah. So the first pic is of my extraction fan. It is a 4" vortex. Right now it only has a screen to stop stuff from being sucked in. When needed we will attatch our carbon filter that came in the mail yesterday there. The next pic is the 1K hps. It is attatched to a 6" vortex. It effectivley controls any heat coming from the lamp. However, due to the intensity, we have to keep it about 15 inches from the plants.
To attatch the 6" vortex, we still need to go purchase one more 6" dual (as you can see by the picture). We got one when we first got the hut. One kit for the intake side and one kit for the exhaust side. We suck in air from an A/C unit and exhaust it through the ventilation in the house. For the airflow in the hut, like i said there is a 4" vortex. Again, the hut only comes with one single flange kit. So we had to purchase 2 more kits as well. We put a flfange on the inside and outside of all 4 holes. Oh yeah, we had to cut holes to mount the 6"ers.
My buddy lives on the beach down there and he has had problems with mold when he grows on his balcony. He would bring it in at night, but he still had issues, so watch your humidity living so close to the beach :jealous:.
In our tent, there are 9 plants. i think we let'em get too big, but we'll see. We plan on doin one of these ops where you have like 16 plants and flower after only two weeks or so next time to see what happens.
This is our first real grow and i totally know what your talking about $$$$. I could have gotten around an 3/4 elbow by now.
Definitely get one of those temp./humidity monitors with the little probe. You can hang it from the light to find the closest distance possible for the light.
We had some little pests...bugs, but put some ladybugs in there and they all got assasinated pretty quickly. Now i cant find a bad bug.
DR CHRONIC is da shit. Just got Ultra Haze #2 in the mail.. YYeeeeaaaahhh and he kicked down some free troublemaker.
Hi Dusto.
You should train your clones to life outside the dome because it will shock them to come straight out.Take the lid of 30 mins at a time 2 times a day
for 2 days. then 45-60 mins a day if it looks like they can cope i would do this for about 5 days impatience is the biggest killer of plants.
Hope this helps.
