Damn, I suck at skateboarding unless Im decently blazed (honestly I still suck, but its waaayy more fun and easier). Falls dont seem to hurt as much and yes indeed I feel the focus factor that alot of you have mentioned. My fave is big halfpipes and bowls when toked. It seems that I can concentrate better and I fear heights less.
ive been skating again recently (but not much). i can ollie fine but i can never get my kickflips or heelfhips down. the board will spin fine but the board always lands a little too much behind my feet. i dunno what to do about that
I had the same problem the deal seemed to be, for me anyway, where I put my feet before actualy leaving the ground. If you have your foot in the ollie position and the ollie kinda high and flick your toe off the side the board should stay below you. I used to hang my heel off the edge and balance my front foot on the toe to make the board flip better, but the board always flipped realy well but went somewhere else than under me. Experement and see what placements give you more control and practice practice practice. Heelflips Im told are easier, but I think kickflips feel more natural. I dunno if this helps but good luck and have fun either way!
i heard this one earlier tonightQuote:

Lol, funny. But I assure you that it won't be me that will be mistaken for a 14 year old kid with a birdhouse shirt that hangs out in front of Pacific Sunwear.Quote:

That's exactly why I quit for awhile, it's selling out... and it sucks to be a part of it.Quote:
