When do you think Cannabis will be decriminalized?

Definitely not in five years. It doesn't matter if the Democrats control the government or the Republicans, they're both vehemently anti-drugs (except the legal ones like tobacco and alcohol of course). The US probably won't let up on weed until damn near the entire industrialized world has. I'd say there's a pretty good chance it will be legalized or at least widely tolerated in Western Europe in the next 10-20 years, and maybe Canada too depending on how much they're willing to defy the US government. After that I would guess that Japan, Australia and New Zealand would be next, then maybe the American government might feel enough pressure to give in and legalize it too. But I estimate it will take a good 40-50 years at least before that happens.

The pharmacuetical pain industry is worth multi billions of dollars.

Medical marijuana is a threat to that industry the way they see it.

Its all about market share and shareholders and corporate growth.

If I threaten your multibillion dollar industry what will you do to stop me.

Everything.

Corporations control the FDA, the FDA says what is approved or not, The DEA gets its policy from the FDA and well funded powerful Pharmacuetical lobbyists that regulate laws of the industry.

They will not give up market share in the pain industry easily.

It will be decriminalized when so many people join MPP, NORML and SAFER that it goes to a referendum of the people at a federal level the way they are going after it at the state level.

Anything else is wishful, and useless, thinking.

My boy Chris was arrested in NY, Yonkers, for possesion of MJ and boy oh boy did he face a bigger punishment then a 100 Dollar fine...

He didn't tell me how much was on him before he went, Im guessing over an ounce because he faced bigger then 100 Dollar fines.

If Nevada and Colorado legalize this year, there will be great changes very soon. Especially Nevada, because they'll be growing the stuff on a large scale. It's impossible to say exactly what the nationwide changes will be though.

But the people need to take responsibilty first, they need to accomplish what they want, and many must be in favor.

But if you go to the phone book and call your local mayors offices, i am sure the first person you speak to could direct you to where you need to go.....
