From what you said in the first post, I'm not sure we have enough info about this young man to be able to provide you an informed opinion. He sounds like someone to be friends with so you can get to know him better.

It sounds to me like this boy is shy about relationships with his mom and dad. I know when I was 15 and 16, I had girlfriends, but my folks never knew about it because I know they would poke fun at me, ask me a ton of questions, etc...I was embarrassed about getting into sex and such around my folks, soooooo maybe, he doesn't want girls phoning there because he's afraid his folks may find out.
