dying in my dreams?

I understand what moeburns talking about, somewhat. Sleeping high in the Rockies, I found myself waking up to catch my breath, due to thin air, but still quite different than his.

My nightmares from a very young age,..... I would start to lift off the ground, flying, but I would start getting very anxious because I would never lift off fast enough, and this big monster, would always get me, and catch me by the ankles. I do not know how many of these I had.........too damn many. Man I was young.......Preschool I think.

We have had a few scrapes Willy, It's alright. We both would leave a little bloody, But it's cool........ Ok?

In my experiences dream interperetation is a deeply personal thing. I dont agree that you can interperate your dreams according to someone elses formula in accordance with what they identify different symbolysms to mean.
Each aspect of your dream is relating to a personal feeling,thought, desire, memory etc and your associations with each character, scene, feeling are all very much different than those of any other person.
Your associations are a result of your experiences in life and your spiritual and mental personality.
In my beliefs and experience dreams are a deeply spiritual and personal state of learning from yourself and your guides. They are messages from yourself to yourself....from one level of awareness to another.
They are cryptical in nature so you must "decode" them to understand them.
Every dream is a sacred gift. You can interperate this gift best by yourself by first bringing as much of it into your consciousness as possible by writing them down complete with how they felt.
How many details you remember directly affects your success at getting the full message out of them.
Ask yourself questions and answer them. If there are blanks dont fill them in with maybes, leave them blank and they will fill in later.
Then for each important point of your dream write what feeling or memory you associate with each moment or event or word.What does each thing mean to you personally?
Then re-read it replacing each symbol with its connection and see if it makes more sense to you.
You will find that with practice you will be able to eventually awaken with the understanding without the process of conscious interperatation.
Once you realise the importance of recieving the message they will come clearer and frequently and guide you through your life with more confidance.
Hard to cram my views into a quick post but thats the short of it.
Dont rely on anything but your 'gut' to interperate your dreams or you will never get the underlying personal gift.

No dreams of dying personally.

Dreams of falling, flying, fighting, underwater/holding breath, running but going no where, having sex, relatives no longer living, my past dog no longer living, unrecognizable beings with no faces that talk and have profound things to say, many things that have actually come true within minutes, days, weeks or months.

I dont think some dreams are our's exclusively and that from my experience I am picking up on tramatic events of someone else, groups of people etc.
or fears that these people felt at their death. I think that certain frequencies of light connect with others of that frequency who can hear it.

Good point. I feel where you are coming from but I dont consider that state dreaming. My belief is that as we descend through levels of consciousness we shed the interferance we accumulate in waking life making us better able to pick up on these frequencies. As we detatch from this waking reality we enter a plane wherein it is possible to tune in on the messages, thoughts, emotions of others. We are constantly releasing these things into the energy field that surrounds us. Some people can tune in at will while some people have too much they need to shed before they can 'hear'. As we descend we have the ability to listen in or to turn the dial to find a specific frequency to communicate with others via this plane.
Our own 'dreams' occurr at a deeper level.
With several levels of consciousness most people do not differentiate and refer to it all as dreams.

From your post I can see that you are no stranger to the concepts I am expressing. You have gifts that will aide you well on your journey when focused and understood.
Your premonitions are a powerful tool.

sleep apnea

unless you have a history of sleep apnea, or you sleep walk and sometimes wake up with a knife in your hand or in the car or something, OR you live with people who really hate you, dont worry about dying in your sleep. I die in my dreams quite often.
Side note:
Sometimes when i have falling dreams my body siezures and I wake up falling onto my bed. Kinda fun actually.

In my beliefs this is the sudden return of the soul into the body.
If you are aware of the return you are close to being aware of the journey.
