This reminds me of one night a year or so ago. About 2:00am I'm awakened by the sound of our fire alarm going off. I totally freek out and open the bedroom door expecting to find an inferno. Nothing though. So I check the rest of the house and there's nothing. By now the fire alarm has stopped. I'm thinking that maybe something is burning in the walls and I just can't smell it yet and am wondering if I should go back to bed when the alarm goes off again. Then it stops. I look up at the thing and see a fucking spider come crawling out. That little fucker somehow triggered the sensor and set off the alarm. Needless to say his life ended then and there.
Anyhow...My family comes first. If I get my wife and daughter out I'll be happy. Beyond that, I'd try to get me photos. Pretty much everything else can be replaced.

I suppose I'd make sure to get the animals and family safe outside, then grab my laptop... that's about it.

My husband, son, sister, and my pets. Then if there were time after all the living beings were out, I'd try to grab photos and business papers. Next time I build a house, I'm going to do it with a sprinkler system just in case.
