Smell is more of an issue for me lately, too.
I heard a myth that the smell sticks to your hair, and that you should rub or brush your hair after you smoke, but I think thats bullshit. Weed smell lasts just as long as any other smokes' smells so heres what I do to get the smell out:
Air: Febreeze is okay but get one of those disinfectant sprays. For some reason they are much better at masking the smell.
Clothes: Okay, so what I do to keep the smell off my clothes, hair, skin, etc. is this. I tilt my head back and make sure that I keep the joint above my face at all times. Smoke travels up, so if you keep it above your head less smoke will have contact with you. It's not 100% effective, but it helps. I don't spray air freshner or deodorant after smoking because its simply too suspicious - imagine seeing a guy who walks in smelling like weed/tobbacco/both and stinks of perfume at the same time.... Its obvious that you suspect he's been smoking.
Try to smoke so that the smoke blows away from you, i.e. have your back to the wind.
In the end the only way to not smell of weed is to eat it.
