harmonicminor's right, layers are where its at.
I admit it's tough to learn how to do, but a couple classes I've taken have only begun to show me some of the shit PS is capable of doing.
lol, actually I got an assignment due next week where we have to take 3 photos and turn them into one.
should be ... coool.
otter, here's a real quick ditty on layers.
when you open up a pic in PS, if you notice the layers board on your right, look for the background layer and drag that icon down to a little folder which is the "create a new layer" option. What that does is copy your background so you can mess with stuff on other layers and still have your original in tact.
plus you can do tons of shit with gradients, effects, and so forth.
another really cool tool is the clone stamp tool.
if you want to get rid of something in a pic, choose that stamp and hold control then click on an area you want to clone or copy, then say you want to get rid of a bird in your pic. after you hold control and click in a bare space, then click on the bird and move your mouse around until the bird is gone. all it does is copy what you told it to by control-clicking and cover your unsightly bird.
lol okay thats wayyy too much.
have fun y'all.

Ya i was playin around with that clone tool yesterday, very cool. After fuckin around with the program you kinda realize how easy it could be to modify or create fake pictures. The liquify tool seems the most interesting
If anyone wants to learn more, this is what im gettin

You can use it to remove features from the face too, like eyes and such. Makes a really cool effect.
OK 2 questions
whats the difference between Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe ImageReady CS2
Second question is in the liquify mode theres a check box that says "Stylus pressure" Im assuming that this is for your touchpad?? How can i use this?? I have a touchpad but it wont let me check the box.
Image ready is an entirely different program.Quote:

yah graph, there's tonZ of stuff you can do with faces and the clone stamp, and that's also where masks come into play.
otter, to answer your first question, photochop is mainly a photo-editing program while image ready is a web-production tool similar to dreamweaver.
