Stoner vs. pothead

I generally say I'm a stoner, because to me (and my friends) that means somewho who enjoys smoking regularly, whereas a pothead is someone who is constantly high and it negatively affects their lives.

oh yes in my rant just now I forgot to mention:

I'm a pothead.

In my mind stoner is not only someone who smokes but someone who has a particular outlook of life. I guess sort of hippyis.
