Infections kill
Thank You for letting us know you went to the clinic and your okay...its okay to learn about wounds ..but try and get your Dr. or Nurse to properly explain antiseptic and treating infection..learn from the professionals that studied years to acquire the knowledge they have...I know for some its not always possible or feasible to go to a Dr. but you did the right thing going when you did..happy your okay.:)
good thing you had it taken out... glass is one of the few things the body won't reject..
I had the same thing happen to me, though I wasn't riding a bike, and it was pencil lead. I got stabbed by it and the entire tip broke off in my leg. It was (is) about half an inch of graphite. Anyway, because I couldn't get it out, it eventually healed over. It's still there to this day, it looks kind of like a freckle though. To make a long story short, yes, get it removed. This is your only chance to get it safely removed.
EDIT: Curse my slow typing!
