Lollipoping for scrog

Thanks Zandor thats what in going to do a light mover would be my choice to but finances wont permit one for now so i have the 1000 watt sitting at 18 inches and it looks to be covering the area ok .I also changed the hood .I had a cool tube that my good freind mobay sent me but it got broke in transit so i took of the broken glass and opened up the reflector in it and used that as the hood it seems to be transfering the light evenly across the screen now so we will see lol. Thanks again for the input zandor its greatly appreciated. Justaseed man i just love these pics of your scrogs man they are among the best i have saw and that is the exact way i want my scrogs to be you are the scrog king my freind. the thing with this scrog of mine is that i have 3 differant strains in there ,aurora indica this strain seems to me not to like scrog to much.White russian seems to love it and is filling the screen out well but more bushy than big like the aurora indica .i also have a jamaican strain in there and it is just thriving under there ,im trying to let light get down to its little bud sites as i have some polen from a white russian male that im was wanting to paint on them to cross them both any ideas on this prosess a freind has told me that if i just use a little paint brush and paint the pollen on the little bud sites that it will seed them,Another thing i have been tying the stems along the screen as they grow is this what you do?thanks people .The Postman.

i have found that the "white" strains take very well to scrog especially the sativa dom pheno's. i would onlly but clones of the same mother under 1 screen. even the same strain from differwent seeds take different time to flower. it's not a big deal, you will just have to harvest at the same time and one plant might not be quite ready. i hope i explained that well enough to make sense to you.

Got you justaseed.i will get some pics sorted tonight and show you what i mean .Out of the 3 white russians2 are sativa dominant and one leaning more towards indica.The aurora indica is totaly differant its a large plant and it starting to take over so i decided last night that im going to stop putting it under the screen and just let them do there thing were they sit as the flowers have set and im not want to damage them.Tellin you mate im starting to realise just how difficult it must have been for you to do those scrogs that you show in your pics.Hat of to you mate you are damn good at this scrog stuff.later .the potman

this is probably a dumb question .... but ... is the SCROG method a good idea with 'plants-from-seed', or does it only work well with clones ... ? :smokin:

Sure you can SCROG from seed but you do need to know the sex before you install the screen. Or you could miss a male and then have seeds in all your other plants. Most SCROG with clones so they donâ??t have that problem or worry but you can grow from seeds too.

Not dumb at all man... very good question.

I can relay, what I've read here... mainly, I remember HarddOn saying that you can make a SCRoG from seeds, but it isn't the easiest/smartest route. I think JustAseed said the same.

Now, here's MY take on it: I think that they say this, because a plant from seed, by the time it reaches the screen, the secondary growths (very used in SCRoG) are starting to grow... so you're going to have that big stem, and the secondary grows a little further behind...

I don't know, that's what I think. I'm going with SCRoG clones. :)

comment on Zandor's reply:::: Z replied before me... but his point is another very important one that I missed. If you have your gorgeous green screen, and you get a male... you're going to leave a big chunk of uncovered screen when you remove that male...

yeh i agree with that now turtle as this scrog of mine is from seed and im now finding that it has to be done from clones to achive its full potencial.Mine were tied down all through veg and i can now see the benefit of doing that.My mistake was doing it with multible strains as the aurora indica doesnt like it at all.Actually i think i might have lessened the yeild instead of increasing it on the AI but have definetly increased the white russian and nebula yeilds but lol (always a but)lol now im having a problem with the light coverage of the 1000 watt hps so im thinking of adding 4x 85 watt warm red fluresant tubes any one think this would help i have these sitting so if they could help some one let me in on it im not up in lumens from the fluresant tubes.I dont want to waste the power if they wont help they are t 8 or 12 i cant remember.The postman

HAAHAHAHAH!!!!!POSTMAN....:stoned: ....I have been working my ass off lately and have not had much time to give to my lovely cannabis.com home but it is on my mind 24\7 i am checking the babies tomorrow to determine sex. I CANT WAIT!!!!! We always have friends over on weekends so i cant tuck in my babies in all the time. but from what i have read within the past couple of days you are in the "HARD DECISIONS" part of scrog...or at least thats what i call it. Its when you are determining what you aree going to do and assesing the outcomes. I am going to tell you from what i have been through...AND AM STILL GOING THROUGH...be strong and clearminded and your happiness will be at 1,000,000 % in the end. MUCH LOVE BRO......NaStY

Alright hungry lol this scrog is doing my head in .The flowers have all formed and since i added the 4 t12 tubes they have really came alive and are now all set in there place so now im just leaving them to grow .out of the 9 plants i think the yeild is looking a lot healthier then it would be if i hadnt scroged them so i must have done something rightlol. the t12 add another 7000 lumens per tube i know lumens cant be added so i dont know if they are worth the extra power or if they are ent helping that much need one of the light experts to advice me on this so any of you lookin in add you 10c worth please>The Postman.
