I do bass and vocals for a rock/funk group; we call ourselves The Fuzz.
Our influences range from Hendrix to Third Eye Blind, but I personally find myself most influenced by John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin.
What has weed done for my music? Not much, actually; it's fun as hell to jam while high, but I can't say it's made me a better musician in any way.

I play bass in the brother my brother (grasshopper420) started. We're a metal band, and considering how much weed we both smoke I think we wouldn't be musicians without it...
