In the bible, the devil removes peoples souls from the back of the neck/base of the skull, and thats what all that shit was about, when that guy tries to shoot Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta but doesnt manage to hit them once, and John Travolta thinks that god saved them.. i think ur supposed to think that god DID save them, because they were stealin bacjk Marcellus soul from the devil... peace

Some journalist asked QT about that whole bandaid on ving rhames head being his soul yadda yadda and QT said the briefcase was a gulliver, a plot device where the viewer has to make up his own idea, about what it is. He said they just threw a glowing light in the briefcase because it looked cool, and as a tribute to some old movie where a briefcase was full of diamonds or radioactive or something. But it wasnt his soul, thats something a fan came up with, although QT said he liked the idea.
