Typical media sensationalism. Notice how they never really say she died because of the medicine. They just want you to think she did. The headline "Patient died during cannabis drug trial" could just have well read "Patient died while breathing oxygen" . But the headline is what counts and most people will have made up their mind as soon as they read it, long before ever reading the story itself. Pefect example of why I hate the media
who cares if it was related or not?? one person in how many smokers through-out history and she wasnt even tokin it! more people die having a shit than that!! choking on a fucking chicken bone! etc etc. we all gotta die people.....
I'm sure it did have other things in it besides D9-THC. I'm sure of it because companies can't make money off of natural elements. D9-THC is natural, so they can't patent it and make money off of it. So they made that pill with other shit in it.Quote:

This one death may scare people into going "OMG see! see! marijuana KILLED somebody!", but what most people don't realize is that such an attitude is born out of the massive ignorance towards the pharmacudical industry. The government does a real nice job quieting down the fact that over a hundred thousand people die a year from prescription meds in the states alone. but give us one person who smokes a joint and dies (which has yet to happen) and let the fear mongering begin!
I watched the movie "Requiem for a dream" yesterday, and it made an excellent point when his mother got on these weight-loss drugs (which are really just speeders). she eventaully starts hallucinating and losing grip on reality, destroying her mind day by day on these things, with the doctor just dismissing her as having "side-effects". it's amazing really how me using cannabis to relieve my pain is illegal, yet I just got some flexeril from the doctors that get me so stoned sometimes I can't function.
next time somebody argues making medical marijuana legal will increase use recreationally, point out that several opiod and other much harder drugs are all legally and frequently prescribed as painkillers. I guess that encourages even harder drug use too.
preach on brother!:smokin: :thumbsup:Quote:
