aiiiight i got an ingrown nail cut out last year. it doesnt really hurt its just really uncomfortable. what they did was they gave me toe 2 needles then when it was numb as fuck they got out a pair of scissors and cut the half of my nail off. doesnt really hurt....just feels like theres alot of pressure on ya toe, its not bad

You're talking to the king of ingrown toenail here. I've had the operation done 3 times. I hate to scare you but DAMN. Thats shit hurts like a mother fucker sometimes. My first one was infected like a bitch. So first I took antibiotics to get infection down then i came back in like a week for the "cut". What they did to me was spray me with this cold ass spray gun then inject like 7-10 shots in my toe. shit hurt but surprisingly not too bad. Just dont you dare look damn it! Then 5 minutres after that if you are numb he gets these scissors and starrs cutting. Feels like a lot of pressure but usually no pain. But one time it did hurt bad because I couldnt get numb enough....it really hurt. One time this doctor pissed me off cus he had a "doctor in training" dude with him and he would lift my toe nail up and say this is what an blah blah blah infection is and im like mother fucka i aint no experiement ho ass. But i didnt say anything really....cuz shit that shiit hurts man be afraid!!!!Quote:

Well I read that if your socks are too tight on your toes or your shoes are causing alot of pressure and for your toes to be pushed together that causes them. And also irregular cut toe nails. They say you should just cut straight across and not a round-like toenail. They say it's most common in the West since in the East they usually wear sandles and shit so they usually have the pressure on their toes.
just reading this thread made me cringe, I've had it three times now, the first two it was operated on, the third time I cut the fucker out myself before it got too bad cuz I didn't want to goto the doctors for it again. if they use enough anesthetic it shouldn't hurt too bad though dude, and have a smoke before you go :)

man get it sorted a family member once had ingrowing toenails on the big to of each foot if u dont get it treat u can have the whole nail and root removed .......in other words they pull the nail out with the root and u r left with a nailess toe ...just a pink blob
