The little critters don't creep me out. I'm terrified of spiders, but even being covered in spiders wouldn't creep me out if I knew they were microscopic.
Besides, just think of all the gross-looking bacteria scrawling all over your body. :D

I'm glad they prefer dead skin that's fallen off over the skin that's on my body..

If your sheets are washed regularly, then that would get rid of them. I believe that silk is mite proof. I also have a dehumidifier which makes it difficult for them to thrive.
Maybe you can't eliminate them entirely, but I'd rather have a few hundred than a few hundred thousand to millions.
You can get cheap plastic bed and boxspring covers for about five bucks or so in discount stores. That's what I use. The anti-allergen comforter cover was about 30 dollars. There are also sprays that you can safely use on beds to kill them.

Control of dust mites can be difficult, time-consuming and expensive. For people who are extremely sensitive, the following measures should be taken:
- Enclose mattresses, box springs and pillows in zippered allergen- and dust-proof covers.
- Wash bedding materials, including pillow cases, sheets, blankets and mattress pads every other week in hot water (130 °F).
- Eliminate or reduce fabric wall hangings such as tapestries or pennants.
- Purchase stuffed toys that are machine washable.
- Avoid using curtains, drapes or blinds on windows. Use plastic shades instead.
- Remove carpeting from the bedroom of the allergic person and replace it with tile or wooden floors.
- Replace upholstered furniture with wooden or plastic furniture.
- Vacuum often with a vacuum cleaner provided with a high efficiency purifying air (HEPA) filtration system. Throw away vacuum bags after use because dust mites can leave the bag.
- Dust Mites

Sleeping much better! Very soundly.
I started fighting back when we had a mild bed bug infestation last summer. It's an epidemic in New York City. I got rid of the motherfuckers without haveing to get an exterminator. Many of the same methods of bedbud elimination also work for dust mites.

Man this shits not as bad as how the average person swallows what is it 5 spiders a year while there sleeping. Thats fuckin sick. Think about it, A fuckin spider crawls into your mouth and you end up mushin it up and swallowing it. SICK!!! Remember that when your throat feels off in the morning. I sleep with the covers over my head.

im just a little afraid of bugs in general, except for ants and flys, but pretty much all bugs other than those, including harmless little butterflies, and these things look meaner than a butterfly. but i dont really care, in 5 minutes im going to forget they exist until they get brought up again, just like all the useless trivia i know. But google waterbear, and look at those, they are cool as shit, they are considered the toughest organism to exist, and it is believed that they could survive in space unprotected, as in without an air lock, or protection from radiation.
