is there an age limitation on buying a lighter?

i tried to buy a light once, and the old lady at the regester skolded me and was all pissed off and told me to leave, like i was commiting a serious crime.
i have no trouble buying lighters now.

In the united states to get a lighter, you have to be 18. Its a law, that everyone ignores. But yes, it is a law.
