First, yes you can die from an alcohol overdose very easily. I happens at almost every university and college in the country at least once a year. Chug a fifth of hard liquor, pass out, and either stop breathing or choke to death on your own vomit. On a lighter note, there have been some recent studies that suggest that marijuana does not cause cancer of any kind and can actually reduce the damage done by smoking cigarettes. And apparently, people who smoke both are less likely to get lung cancer than those who smoke only cigarettes.

So much for the DARE program.

You would have to smoke that 1-1.8kg in under 30 minutes and you would probably cough lots so that would slow down the smoking. You would probably pass out/fall asleep after the first pound or two.

Not only that, drinking alcohol has long term effects as well. Cancer of the Pancreas (sp?), Liver, Prostate, Bowels, Stomach, etc...Severe damage to the Liver and Pancreas, not too mention everytime you drink, you are killing brain cells that DO NOT recover, unlike smoking MJ, where your brain cells don't die (in moderation), they just slow down.

Let me guess, your dad is an American and an alcoholic? No offense, but I see someone who hasn't shaved in months, wearing a flannel coat, slurring his words, spitting everywhere, saying booze is good for you because The Man says so. Again, no offense :)

Actually your brain/liver do repair themselves unless you are an alcoholic with cirrhosis (where cells can no longer repair due to alcoholism).

Brain cells don't slow down, the signals carried through do.

But when tetrahydrocannabinol is a stimulant, how can your brain cells 'slow down'?

I'm not implying that cannabis does cause brain damage, i'm just correcting you.
