It's different for everyone. Look at how many brain cells George Carlin has barbequed over the years...he smoked weed starting when he was 13, and smoked every single day of his life, even when he was in the air force, until he was 42. He was a stonehead for THIRTY YEARS. Then he had a consuming cocaine addiction from 1972-1975. He did acid, I know, and recenlty just got out of rehab for addiction to alcohol (bottle and a half of wine a day, he went to rehab so it wouldn't get worse), and Vicodin. Now he is SIXTY-NINE years old, and look at what a genius he is...smarter, and more creative, than 99.99% of the people on this planet.
Then again, some people who do 1/10th as many drugs as he did are affected much worse. Especially with a very potent drug like LSD...I have a friend who has not really been the same since he got a hold of some bad stuff, or strong stuff or something.
Just use the drug judiciously, so that it DOES something for you, and not just to distance yourself from reality, and you'll be fine. Use it wisely and it won't make you dumber, it will enhance your life.
