That would be melodic death metal with viking metal lyrics. Judging from those bands, you should check out "At The Gates" if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed, promise. ;)

What kind of metal are you into, thread maker? It's an incredibly diverse (set of) genre(s), so it'd be hard to give you bands you'd like unless I knew what you were already into. I watched Headbanger's Ball for the first time tonight (MTV2), and they had a few great bands. Check that out for metal.

As for me, the newest band I'm listening to is called 10 Years (as of maybe an hour ago). I heard their song on the radio, so I'm assuming they're going to be huge. :confused:

If you like psychedelic/hippy sort of music then check out "Arthur Brown"....
...youve probly heard of him before, he did that "Fire" song (I am the god of hellfire and i bring you....FIRE *dododo* i want you to burn....LOL somthing like that)...but there are better songs like "the great spontanious apple creation"

A good new band is Arctic Monkeys listening to me quite a bit at the moment. Have you heard any Incubus?

I thought you wanted to discover new "music" as opposed to new "bands". Check "The Headhunters" for some cool jazz.
